I'm sure it's coming to Switch 2. Atlus has ported almost all of their recent games to Switch, so it'd be weird if they skipped such a major one. And based on comparison videos I've watched on Youtube, the game runs well enough on the Playstation 4, so the Switch 2 should be able to handle it.
@Polvasti really hoping what you said is true, Atlus ported Catherine full body, to the switch and that was developed by the same studio that did metaphor.
Metaphor is the only missing gem from the switch 2's library.
@xenobladexfan I don't think it's the only missing gem even among recent turn-based RPGs, since there's been no announcements yet for ports of Clair Obscur or Baldur's Gate 3 either. But yeah, Metaphor is definitely among the games whose Switch 2 version I'm anticipating the most. When it came out I decided to skip the PC version and wait for the likely S2 port, since lengthy JRPGs like this are just nicer to play on the Switch, where you don't need to be stuck in front of the telly for a 100 hours. So I'm hoping Atlus/Sega won't let me down.
@Polvasti I wish all rpgs whether they be western or Japanese could come to the switch 2 because I personally found that long games such as persona or trails are better on hybrid format because they are very text heavy and its easier to play for longer than intended due to the games structure.
@xenobladexfan thanks, I don’t really follow many gaming YouTubers but I have heard NatetheHate did recently call quite a few things correctly, so this is promising! These are probably my 2 most wanted RPGs for switch 2 since I don’t have a PS5.
Metaphor was already leaked for Switch 2 alongside Persona 3 Reload, which as we all know, was recently released just as predicted. So Metaphor is on lock. And that's not even accounting for recent confirmations.
And ya, as someone already mentioned, Nate did say E33 was also coming. Which shouldn't be a surprise. There's no reason for it not to. With Xbox decline and the meteoric rise of Switch 2, and it actually being capable enough to handle these games, I'd expect most titles to make their way over at some point.

@JaxonH I have been playing ff 7 remake on switch 2 recently and I'm blown away by how beautiful that game looks and runs, must be the tech Nvidia provided Nintendo with that makes these games run so smoothly, so that being said, I expect both expedition 33 and metaphor to run very well on the switch 2, as the later did release on the ps4.
Sadly, I wouldn't get your hopes up about Baldur's Gate 3. Any chance of a Switch 2 port is probably doomed by Hasbro being Hasbro. Porting it would require making some kind of deal with Larian, and Hasbro seems to have decided they'd rather be self-destructively spiteful than grant Larian any money or acclaim they can possibly avoid granting.
@metaphysician Larian stated a week or two ago that BG3 won’t be coming to the Switch 2. It’s very disappointing, and I hope it changes in the future, but I highly doubt it.
@JaxonH Agreed. It’s a matter of when, not if. I have no doubt E33 will be announced for Switch 2 relatively soon, along with Metaphor considering most of their library of games are on the console.
What I am wondering — and it’s not RPG related — is if the rumors for Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor will be making its way to the console this year.
