Topic: Game Recommendations that utilize mouse controls well

I have never played a game before using mouse controls, but I am curious to try some out. Are there any games on switch 2 that you think utilize them particularly well that I should try out?

I think ideally I am looking for something first person. I know games like stardew and animal crossing have mouse controls that help decorate, but that is not exactly the type of function I am looking for.

Prime 4 feels like the obvious first stop, mostly because even people who are mixed on the game keep saying the mouse implementation itself is one of the better showcases. If you want something that actually justifies first-person aiming rather than using the pointer for menus or decoration, that seems like the cleanest place to start. I’d judge it less on pure precision and more on whether you stop noticing the control method after ten minutes.

Interesting, I actually have this game and hadn't started it yet. Did not know it had mouse support. Though I assume I'll have to buy the upgrade to use mouse controls? (only currently have S1 version)

You might need the upgrade to use mouse controls in Prime 4. It is a very good use of mouse controls though, I played the whole game with them and its probably the best feeling Metroid game to play in my opinion (Still falls behind the original Metroid Prime in many ways though).

If you have Nintendo Switch Online, you could also try Mario Paint on SNES. It's less of a game and more of an art program, but it has a lot of character. The mouse controls make it easy to use.

Mouse Work also looks interesting but I don't think that's out yet.

Doing a little more research, Subnautica Switch 2 Edition also has mouse controls, and is on sale currently (75% off, only costs ~$7.50).

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy has two minigames separate from the main game which utilise the mouse mode in a rather unique way: in both of them you need to use both the left-hand and the right-hand mouse at the same time. That's a rather novel idea, I've never heard of any game even on PC with such a two-mouse setup. These minigames are pretty fun to play too, once you get used to the odd controller configuration.
