Well this will be a bit of a blast from the past for some… Ever since the 3DS eshop was nearing its demise, I got back into playing Shuffle, and have continued doing so, daily, but I’ve since moved on to the mobile phone app.

Not that I expect a lot of people to be still playing this, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt having a friend code thread for it.

Welp, I’ll start with mine:

Edit for the lurkers: as of December 2023 I’m still accepting invites, do send them!

Edit 2: yes, I’m still actively playing and accepting invites as of April 2024!

I'm deeply ashamed to admit that I started playing the 3DS version again after, I assume, a 5 year hiatus, just so that I can obtain the missing Pokémon from events and such before the game died.

I can continue playing the 3DS version and access events in perpetuity so long as I do not adjust the system clock, as you can no longer check-in online to authenticate the actual time, which sucks a bit, but I had actually started playing to gain as many RMLs/MSUs as possible as I didn't think that the events were automated to refresh in advance in perpetuity (or until 2050 or so, according to dataminers).

And even though I've been playing since the announcement of the game's "demise", so to speak, they hadn't made the announcement early enough for us returning players to obtain all of the check-in exclusive Pikachus. So, there are about 4-5 Pikachus that I'll never be able to access and, in turn, never be able to obtain every single Pokémon in the game.

That aside though, I'll probably stop once I've completed all of the main/expert stages, and probably after I've max-candied all of the Megas as well (which is still a good while away).

And maybe then I'll stop.

Maybe.

I hate myself for ever getting back into this awful, awful, AWFUL game as it took such willpower to give it up the first time.

And I swore to myself that I'll never give a F2P game the time of day again, so, I have absolutely no intention of ever playing the mobile game (which I briefly dabbled with circa 2015), especially so long after its release (where I'll have virtually no chance of ever scoring at a respectable tier in the contests).

Grrr... the self-loathing is so strong right now.

"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"

@Sisilly_G I moved to the mobile version after realizing you can still get the login bonus and participate in events there, to get the mega stones. In general the main difference is that upgrades cost more coins…

I know eventually I’ll have to transfer the system to a new console or have to change the time, so events on the 3DS are truly hanging by a thread…

Hopefully they won’t just kill the mobile version anytime soon, since that one they can fully disable at any point if they want to…

Edit! Ah cool someone actually sent a friend invite, thanks!

Curiously enough… I’ve actually received several friend invites after posting this thread.

Would be nice if these people joined the forums and left their codes so other people can add them as well.
