  • Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir (I'd imagine it would be both the Famicom and Switch versions)
  • Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club (am I the only one who finds it weird that "Famicom Detective Club" is after, whereas it's before in the other games' titles?)
  • Kirby's Adventure (it'll happen eventually, right?)

I've had all three versions of The Girl Who Stands Behind's soundtrack stuck in my head since I started playing it, and that's a good thing!

@Polley001 Considering how much you've put into your Nintendo Music database, you're definintely deserving of post 3,000. Also, that's not boring at all!

@squiddu-real Look at their post history; what they said here makes about 10,000 times more sense than their second forum post.

Not seeing a lot of guesses here for the Monday slot? I personally think they'll continue to use it to trickle out large OST / sets of OSTs. So I'm gonna go with Xenoblade as my guess for that, although I do think they'll wait until next week to start the next set of Monday drops.

The other two guesses... Uhhh idk, Majora and Return to Dream Land lol

Petition to not count votes for this game unless people specifically vote for "Kid Ovaries Uprising"

@Maldives Wow what a clever and insightful point that no one has ever made before. What other Kierkegaardian-level dollops of sage wisdom do you have to provide us feeble folk? Perhaps you're going to say that Game Key Cards are bad, or that Mario Kart World shouldn't be $80. Perhaps you'll be the one daring enough to say that BotW-fication needs to stop in spite of the fact there are really only two games that play like BoTW.

...hmm, kinda went off one, didn't I?

ANYWAYS

  • Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
  • Kirby Super Star(OG & Ultra)
  • Kid Icarus Uprising

I've been listening to video game music online for more than 20 years and I can say that at least in certain ways, the Nintendo music app is the most convenient its ever been to listen to it.

The long form videos of entire vgm soundtracks on Youtube I sometimes find haven't been destroyed on my phone by Youtube's relatively new "ads on everything, you get no say" policy, a major thing that makes me appreciate Nintendo Music over it nowadays, but I dunno how much of that is the age of the videos and how much of that is the phone. (any new video on browser, I'd be interrupted as often as tv does)

Related to that, because of this app, I've also gotten super back into listening to vgm soundtracks in general, not just the hour a week of Nintendo I've done for the past year. Just this past week I've listened to both Bomberman 64 and Hero's soundtracks, which are both great. 64 is just consistently really good, Hero is a bit more hit or miss but the hits are some of the best vgm of the era, bar none, and is way more interesting than the least of the N64 Bomberman games needed to have.

@kkslider5552000 i will concede that, in most cases the better quality experience is just downloading good rips online and playing them from your device for free. hell, i technically did a lil bit of that for the sake of the playtest ost.

but what people tend to forget is that people will pay for convenience (as well as remembering that the vast majority of subscribers never did solely for this app, even if it was in the absolute best state possible it still wouldn't be worth worth 20/year alone). having to do nothing but download an app that deals with everything for me is nice to have... and in reality, nintendo music is varied enough that it doesn't really matter if i can't mix it with other stuff; chances are that if i want to listen to something else, i wouldn't include nintendo music in the playlist regardless. not mixing emo rock with the origami king ost or something lol

The ad-free nature of the app is what draws me to it most. There's a lot of soundtracks that I really want that aren't on the service, but I'm willing to tolerate that because nothing quite breaks my rhythm while studying like being told how I can build an app without even knowing how to code with Base 44, and that doesn't happen in Shed Paradise.

@N00BiSH sorry, but @Robot99 has decreed that your vote won't count unless you make that for Kid Ovaries Uprising. I don't make the rules, sorry.

As far as the app debate (Is it a debate? Seems to be all of us agreeing lol) goes, yeah I'm getting NSO anyways for Online, GameChat, and Nintendo Classics — Nintendo Music is just a (very big, imo) boost to its value. It's not perfect but it's ad-free, it's part of a service I'm paying for anyways, and it's got a ton of soundtracks I'd never have bothered with otherwise. And for the stuff it doesn't have yet? Hi, YouTube + EzConv would love to meet you.

The chorus of people voting for Kid Icarus(ovaries) Uprising brings me a lot of joy but I'm not aware of a reason?

I'm going to vote for Nintendo Land, Smash Ultimate (just smash specific tracks with a longer term rollout) and I guess Smash 64.
Although it would be peak Shed guy to go for Smash 4 instead.

Just realised we dont even know what date the drop will be this week ☺️
Suspect Zelda will be next week along with a direct.

Do the birds need a reason to fly? Do the fish need a reason to swim? Does Cranky Kong need a reason to be cranky? It just is what it is.
