Topic: Nintendo Music App

I’m more of a paradoxical college goer myself but study time is when I use Nintendo Music so now’s the time for some Pokémon music or else…

(I would be willing to wait until mid October if it meant we could get both XY and Z-A in the same week, seeing as both games’ anniversaries do land in the same week)

hey, question to tide y'all over: what nintendo music would your work/study playlist contain?

are you the kinda person that needs a bunch of high-energy stuff to focus, or do you thrive on music most people fall asleep to? personally, i fall closer to the latter, stuff like animal crossing and some kirby music aHEM

@squiddu-real If I am studying, i need the peppiest, loudest, fastest, craziest music I can find to keep me awake!

When I first started putting playlists together, I made dedicated bedtime and morning playlists - sleepy songs and energetic songs, respectively. I quickly realized that each playlist had "chill" songs that didn't really fit on either though, so eventually I spun that off into a dedicated "chill" playlist. So I guess my answer is that my perfect study music would be something in between the two!

I can share it here if you want. It's a little unrefined though, and also my largest playlist. It's designed to be shuffled of course:

I say that this is "something between" calm and energetic, but if I'm being completely honest it probably leans more towards the latter lol

@squiddu-real I have two study playlists, one for daytime and one for nighttime. Deciding which songs go where is mostly a matter of vibes, but in either case I’ve generally been going for pretty calm tracks as I’m more easily distracted by energetic tracks (though I have included a Nintendogs song that I really ought to remove because it pisses me off whenever it comes on) That said, in the past few months I have gotten a bit more liberal with what I consider to be calm, specifically in the daytime playlist.

I use my HYPE PLAYLIST when I’m folding clothes.

Well I'm a full time professional so rarely study these days but for focusing I want things with strong vibes that are neither too laid back or dramatic. From this app I would probably start with the Link between Worlds dungeon themes, Metroid Prime location themes and probably the chiller Awakening battle themes.

I don't care either way. I actually asked this 2 weeks ago 😆

If Nintendo continues to be overly predictable, you may need some more rules.

I say that not having even the tiniest idea of what next week will bring.

Please, please, please, PLEASE tell me that's a Descendants reference (I know it's a phrase outside of the series but I would be so happy if that's where you took it from)!

Nah sorry lol, just using a popular phrase. I was actually gonna call it Nintendo and Chill, but then I found out that the phrase does not have the connotations that I initially believed it did lmao

so i was perusing @Polley001 's nintendo music spreadsheet – great job, by the way – for the sake of another dumb nintendo music spreadsheet i'm making, and it made me realize there's very much a chance my nso classics spreadsheet mixes up utc and est/edt dates.
i don't think many do, since i did just check and it seems wikipedia adjusts the date based on timezone, since otherwise near everything would normally be placed a day later under utc.

should i swap everything to the utc dates? shouldn't be too hard, just very tedious.

my guesses for next week:

My guess are:

• Drag x Drive (1st anniversary has passed but sometimes anniversary drops are a bit over a year rather than a bit under a year)
• Duskbloods special release
• Ocarina of Time remake special release

I'm leaning towards Duskbloods because surely there has to be a gameplay reveal prior to the closed network test. But threw in OoT remake as a backup in case there's news on both next week. The main options for news the week beginning August 17th feels like one of the following:
1. Some kind of Direct featuring Duskbloods (Duskbloods Direct, Partner Showcase, Indie World + Partner Showcase)
2. Standalone trailer for Duskbloods while Zelda 40th anniversary gets a Direct
3. General Direct that features a Zelda 40th anniversary segment and Duskbloods news

I think option 1 is the most likely.
