@Kermit1 Thanks! One final question (before the ultimate final question and then the super ultimate final question, etc. etc.....); I've just checked out a few of the factory reset videos showing how it's done (pretty simple process) and I just want to clarify something off of you in regards to them: given what I'm doing (bringing the current account to the old Switch), should I do the 'Initialize Console W/O Deleting Save Data' or just 'Initialize Console'? Considering how the system I'm doing this on doesn't have any save data to begin with, probably just the latter right?

And another thing I've noticed in checking these videos out is that there's a notice when you hit 'Initialize Console' that says 'All software saved on a Micro SD card, except screenshots and videos, will become unusable. (Data on the Micro SD card will not be deleted)'. Considering the fact that I transferred all the stuff that was on my SD card to my newer Switch, I should be A-OK in that regard when I put the SD card back in the old Switch after this whole process is done because it considers itself to be a brand new Switch with nothing attached from before, correct?

Thanks for listening to my ramblings and I hope this thread may be useful to anyone who has these oddly specific issues in the future XD

Initialize Console (the second one)

You have nothing to worry about with the SD card. Since Switch game saves (including cartridge) are account based.

I had these same questions, but I figured it out by looking at Reddit posts and asking people on here.
