Topic: Faulty R Button on Joy-Con

Hello everyone, Fizza here! I wanted to make a thread discussing an issue I've been having that has infuriated me to no end for the better part of a year at this point. When playing with my Switch, the R Button on my right Joy-Con will simply decide to not function seemingly at random whenever I'm playing with it. Every time I think I know where to press it, it ends up going completely awry only moments later and I'm basically at my breaking point. Which brings us to the question at hand: does anyone know a way to fix a faulty Joy-Con button? I really don't want to send it off to Nintendo themselves if possible since I have no replacement at the moment but I'm not really sure what I can do currently. Thanks for reading and reply ASAP if you have any suggestions!

Did you try a can of compressed air? Sometimes crap gets into the trigger buttons and using a can of air will clean it out and it will work fine after that. I did that to a PS4 controller I had a few years ago and it worked fine after that.

@Fizza You can replace the button, if needed. There are youtubes. I know ifixit has some youtubes, but I dont' know if they specifically replace the R button. I think you at least need a triwing screwdriver?
