Topic: Age of Calamity DLC Pass

I really want to get the Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity DLC pass, but I was wondering how much of the game I have to complete before I can actually use it. I just finished the mission where you defend Fort Hateno (it’s called Each Step Like Thunder) so I’m close to beating the game. Can I get the DLC now, or would it be better to wait?

Thanks!!

It is integrated into the game. There is some post game content but for the most part you can start using it from the start (or rather start working on unlocks). I didn't start the game until after all the DLC came out.

A lot of the dlc is also kind of designed a way that makes it a nice companion for the main story, giving you access to materials and features that are probably more helpful before finishing the game.

Ok. Thank you!! Can the story from the second DLC be played before I beat the game or does some come after?

@SmashBall35 the first level of the second dlc happens before the events of the main story, most of the others happen throughout the story (and I suppose you could say it’s a bit spoilery so perhaps you could skip them for now). I’m not sure when do they unlock if you start with a fresh save.

Probably off topic a bit. Sorry.

If I got the main game on, say account#1 (Asia), then bought the DLC using account#2 (EU). Both login to the same console, would that work?

Or do I have to have the DLC and the main game purchased using the same account?

@jackymg : It all depends on whether the two versions of the game are identical between regions.

If you own the Asian version of Age of Calamity, press + on the home menu screen, and check its eShop page with your European user profile. If a game comes up, then the two versions of the game are identical, and the DLC will be compatible. If an error appears, the two versions are distinct, and the European DLC will not be compatible with your Asian copy of the base game.
