Nintendo just had to make it even more confusing...

I bet no one here considered the "Link fails in Ocarina of Time" bit.

ASW - After Seal War (actually, it's the year the Seal War starts, which is when Ganondorf breaks into the Sacred Realm)

Eons before 1000 BSW

• Creation of the Hyrule world
• Establishment of the ancient Hyrule kingdom
• The Dark Tribe is born
• The war between Demise and Hylia occurs
• Link, Zelda, and Impa go back in time, Demise is sealed into the Master Sword

1000 BSW - 1 BSW

• The events of Skyward Sword take place
• Link wishes upon the Triforce to destroy Demise
• Demise dies
• The Triforce is obtained by the Skyloftians
• The Oocca help the people of Skyloft established the Hyrule kingdom
• Hylians adopt Din, Naryu, Farore religion instead of Hylia religion
• The Hero of Men seals evil into the Bound Chest
• The events of The Minish Cap take place
• Vaati dies
• Vaati gets resurrected
• The events of Four Swords take place

Link never returns to Hyrule after he pulled out the Master Sword, and Ganondorf breaks into the Sacred Realm creating a war known as the Seal War.

• Zelda inherits the Triforce of Wisdom, Ganon inherits the Triforce of Power, the Triforce of Courage is inherited by no one
• The sages seal Ganon into the Sacred Realm
• The Triforce is obtained by the Royal Family
• Zora and other races migrate to Holodrum and Labrynna
• Queen Ambi begins building the Black Tower
• The events of the past Oracle of Ages take place

500 ASW - 505 ASW

• Ganon breaks out of his seal
• The events of Sound & Drama take place, Link's parents are killed, and the Triforce gets taken by Ganon's minions from the palace
• The events of A Link to the Past take place
• Ganon dies
• The Triforce returns to the Royal Family
• The events of present Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons take place
• Twinrova returns, resurrects Ganon, and they both die

506 ASW

• In another reality, BS-X Zelda takes place
• The events of Ancient Stone Tablets alongside Link's Awakening take place

• The Sleeping Zelda story takes place

• Ganon is sealed by both Link and the sages
• Zelda uses the Ocarina of Time to send Link back in time before the events of Ocarina of Time so he can live a normal childhood

8 ASW - 1000 ASW

• The war with Bellum takes place
• The war with Malladus takes place, and he is sealed with the Spirit Tracks
• Ganon breaks out of his seal in parallel to the events of A Link to the Past
• There is no hero, so the goddesses flood Hyrule to protect it from Ganon's evil
• The events of The Wind Waker take place
• Ganon dies
• Triforce is completed, but splits into three once again
• Tetra and Link begin searching for a New Hyrule
• Bellum returns and takes out Tetra's Force, turning her into stone
• The events of Phantom Hourglass take place
• Bellum dies

1100 ASW

• The events of Spirit Tracks take place
• Malladus dies

Link returns to a time before Ocarina of Time, and the Seal War never takes place.

• Ganondorf is imprisoned at Arbiter's Grounds
• Link searches for Navi in the alternate universe Termina
• The events of Majora's Mask take place
• Majora is defeated
• Ganondorf is to be executed, but the Triforce of Power saves him
• Ganondorf is imprisoned in the Twilight Realm in the Mirror of Twilight, bringing it to chaos

100 ASW

• The events of Twilight Princess take place
• Zant dies
• Ganondorf dies
• The Mirror of Twilight breaks, severing the link between the Twilight Realm and the World of Light

500 ASW

• Ganondorf is reborn
• Vaati breaks out of the seal, is being controlled by Ganondorf
• The events of Four Swords Adventure happen in parallel to to A Link to the Past
• Vaati dies
• Ganon is sealed into the Four Sword

Speaking of Skyrim: Why are so many people complaining about the PS3 version having bugs, yet they never mention the Xbox 360 version? It's the same game on both systems, right? Shouldn't the Xbox 360 version have the same bugs and glitches?

I was joking about PS3 skyrim being an unplayable mess.

Because it's bullcrap, lol, that's why it was never considered, not only is it wrong, it logistically makes no SENSE

It makes tons of sense.

From my interpretation, the backstory of A Link to the Past suddenly makes very clear sense--Ganondorf gets the Triforce, but is not confronted by Link. He is instead sealed by the knights and the sages sans Link. An Ocarina of Time, but basically without Link, segues very, very nicely into A Link to the Past, much better than anything that has been posited before it (much better than Four Swords Adventures, which has nothing going for it but a similar looking Hyrule and stuff revolving around the Palace of the Four Sword which has dubious canonicity). I've always hated the idea that the Imprisoning War was some nebulous event that just so happened to closely resemble Ocarina of Time's events.

Find me where it says that it's wrong and I'll believe you.

The only real fail here is these people who think that the timeline is real

still don't get the Twilight Princess > FSA thing though. I could MAYBE believe it was after LTTP instead of the original Four Swords because of the blatant similarities but after Twilight Princess is just odd.

I still want to figure out what happened to the Temple of Time between OOT and TP. I think only 100 years passed so...?

I thought most multiplatform (PC, Xbox 360, and PS3) games were developed simultaneously. It would make things so much easier if all versions were developed at the same time. Porting takes extra effort and resources.

Brawl

Brawl is like some mindscrew "villian tries to destroy universe by combining all timelines" story or something equally stupid and insane.

Super Mario 64 obviously takes place before OoT, since there would be no other reason for Hyrule Castle to have a picture of Mario in the window. Fox was in Kokiri Forest practicing his Arwing flying when Link suddenly attacked him with his sword.

No, it never made logical sense, if there was a separate timeline for every possible game over, then the timeline would be even more of a convoluted mess.

Second, there is no logical way for there to be OoT WITHOUT Link, I'm pretty sure there's only two endings to that game, A: Ganondorf is sealed in the past, and B: Ganondorf is sealed in the present, there is no 'fail' end to the story, it does NOT fit with ALttP, (as four swords adventure better explains the imprisoning war than OoT), I simply cannot see the logic or validity in such a timeline, there are TWO timelines, plain and simple, NOT three, and until miyamoto says otherwise that's what I'm standing by

Its more of a Hypothetical Timeline. Due to the curse (or blessing) There cannot be link with out evil. So Everything Up intill the Final Battle of OTT still happens. Link Awakens the Sages and Ganondorf becomes Ganon. Instead Link is killed by Gannon and fails. This causes the Knights of Hyrule and the Sages to seal Ganon away. This becomes know as the imprisoning wars.

What Leads Credence to this was that Retro pitched a Shiek Game that took place in the OOT timeframe. The way Zelda gets kidnapped the game wouln't have made sense in any other context but Link failing and shiek/Zelda having too step in.

The Only somewhat plot detail is what happens to the Master Sword and how it gets too the Lost woods.
