Iwata said in their investors meeting that they are considering mergers and acquisitions.
Who do you think they should merge with? And why should they merge with that company?

There's no point in Nintendo buying out any 3RD party devs. They have trouble with most of their own IP's at times, and that's not including any extra work they might take on.

I believe Nintendo should be like Apple or Google and buy up everything they can including the company's that come out of the woodwork just for patent infringement,

Sega and everything they own should be the first purchase.

Sega's 3rd party reach is too entrenched on multiple platforms not just console for nintendo to consider them, they even have their own eshop for PC and they don't just support phones, they even have games on ouya and fire TV, todays sega makes no sense as a merger target to a company tied to hardware like nintendo.

They should acquire some independent third party developers to help with development given the difficulty of creating games on a timely basis for both their portable and console hardware products. Platinum Games would be nice, given that they have worked with Kyoto before, relations are tight, and I think Platinum's creativity level is a good fit for some Nintendo IPs.

Nintendo should also seriously consider expanding relations with western developers......one of the things that made the SNES and N64 days so golden was the deals worked out with Rare, Midway, Lucas Arts, and Acclaim.....sure you had some stinkers, but you also had a lot of great exclusives. Perhaps the market has changed too much, but either way, they should consider bringing on board more western developers......Retro and Next Level have already proved that we can hack it.

This. Nintendo needs to save us from the horror of "Layton 7"

What's wrong with Layton 7? I've never played a Layton game but what's wrong with that game?

Is Nintendo richer than Disney or is Disney richer than Nintendo? That alone worries me.

Also I don't think you're allowed to by companies that are foreign.

I'm pretty sure Disney would be the one buying out Nintendo, just saying.

If they don't buy Gamefreak soon, we all know that they're going the RareWare way and Microsoft or Sony is gonna try putting Pokemon on PS4 or Xbox One, or even the PS Vita!

Pokemon is a Nintendo IP so there wouldn't be any Pokemon on Sony systems. However there could be Pokemon like copycats.

Games I am HYPED for: Splatoon, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby, Mario Maker, SSB for Wii U, Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors.

It's unlikely that Nintendo would buy any 3rd party publishers. It makes no sense from a business standpoint anyway. What good would it do to buy SEGA? SEGA already works with Nintendo and gives them plenty of exclusives. You don't buy the cow when you get the milk for free.
