@blindsquarel If you're unhappy with Marvel films then you can just stop watching them. Just because they released Shang Chi it doesn't somehow change Endgame.

Marvel films are lot more fun when you stop obsessing over and rewatching them and expecting spoilers for the next 20 films. I'm a comic reader and I'm not sick of Marvel films myself but I am sick of people talking about them non-stop. lol

@jump
I talk about them a lot because superhero films are what I am into. I do like some of phase 4. No way home, Shang Chi, and WandaVision are great. Multiverse of madness and moon knight are solid to. But my problem is that nothing seems to matter with these films. No way home was basically a reboot of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, moon knight had no long term effects, Wanda vision just led to Multiverse of Madness, which didn’t really effect much, other than I guess confirming the multiverse exists? Shang Chi possibly teased galactis so props to that. But endgame felt like a natural stopping point. Now these movies just feel like cash grabs.

Just saw Top Gun Maverick and I have to say what a surprise. It is better than the first movie, and it is a fun film. I was skeptical of a sequel thirty years after the fact but nah, we got something that really is quite good. Just my two cents.

I just watched Jurassic World: Dominion, I REALLY LIKED IT, it's not high art just a super fun popcorn flick.

@Kermit1 That’s good you enjoyed it. I heard the critics ripped it apart but I am still going to check it out regardless.

@Kermit1 Awesome! I a, not a fan of the Star Wars sequels myself, so that works. I will definitely ask you why after I see it.

@Themagusx1 when the Force Awakens came out I really liked it, but as the other two came and went. I have SO many nitpicks about them it's not funny.

and sidenote after seeing BELLE I never want to watch a new animated Disney film ever again!!!
That film is my favourite animated thing ever (besides UPA animation)

Just got back from seeing Jurassic World Dominion in 3D.

I know it's been getting pretty scathing reviews, but I honestly thought it was pretty entertaining & at least better than Fallen Kingdom. Sure, if you think hard enough there are some things that don't add up (I'm not sure exactly how long after it takes from the last one, but it probably doesn't make that much sense that a couple dozen dinos let loose on the west coast could become endemic the world over in a few short years), but it was a fun action movie.

3D was pretty good too. Didn't make quite as good use of it as Doctor Strange, but there were definitely some acts that made great use of it like the action scene in Malta.

@RR529 I liked it too, could have been more LOOK A DINO ON THE GOLDEN STATE BRIDGE AAAHHH.

but I liked the direction they went in and the old cast I think worked well with the new cast

@Kermit1, yeah, I can maybe understand why some people may be disappointed with it, but in the end Dinosaurs are just animals, this was never going to be like Planet of the Apes where humanity is at war with them over living space or some such.

@RR529 Have you ever seen the concept for Jurassic Park 4... Human-Dino hybrids...

@Kermit1, I take it you mean the live action versions of the Lion King & Mulan? Probably shouldn't have to ask, but you never know...

@RR529 Yep, live action, I hate them with a passion... those are the only few films I hate in this world

Meh, I thought Mulan was fine for a wire-fu movie. Some the scenes were really gorgeous looking.

I do wonder about people who keep calling it the worst movie ever made as it’s not bad even if it’s not great. Like have they only ever seen 8 films and this just happens to be the worst from the small population or are they paranoid that this new movie is out to murder their memory of an ancient cartoon or if they are on the internet hyperbole train feeling the need to moan about every single thing rather than just move onto a film they did enjoy or because it’s Disney it’s the centre of their world now so every detail of everything they do needs to be discussed ad nauseam.

@jump My dislike for it, comes from where they filmed some parts of it, and it feels a bit lazy and wooden at parts.
