Hi there,

Seeing the incoming publication of "Console Wars: Sega, Nintendo, and the Battle that Defined a Generation" I realised I haven't ever read any book on videogames/consoles. Any suggestion?

Looking for anything in particular? Fiction, non-fiction, artbooks, etc?

If you're looking for broad suggestions on any books relating to video games, the best one to come out in recent years in my opinion is the Hyrule Historia. Definitely a must-own for any Zelda fan.

The only one I've read is game over thought it was really good, covers a few stories about nintendo like the lawsuit involving donkey kong and how they got tetris for gameboy, I'd definitely recommend giving that one a read.

I own a book called "1001 Videogames to play before you die".

While not technically, a book about the industry itself, it is an interesting read.

Thank you guys! I've also found on the internet "Masters of Doom: How Two Guys Created an Empire and Transformed Pop Culture" by David Kushner, and I think it'll be my next read.

Hyrule Historia seems pretty cool, as well as Game Over. 1001 Videogames seems interesting and I'll look for it too.

EDIT: BTW, you can read "Masters of doom" in this link: http://ed9er.net/doom/masters.of.doom.ebook.htm
