Topic: Are we still getting a january nintendo direct?

i mean, it is supposed to be every 2 months but we got one in november and then on december with really big news, are we still getting one this month?

I really hope, the january direct of past year made me think january was the best month of 2013 for me.

Considering the sales figures MS and Sony have just release, I'd say there's gonna be a Direct pretty soon. Last January was a panic move by Nintendo after poor sales. They didn't really have much to show, but told us that Mario, Zelda, Smash and Mario Kart were coming... which were pretty much knew. Maybe this year they'll tell us Metroid is coming without showing anything. People will go nuts again, but in both cases it's not news and I don't get the excitement. Their existence is not a surprise and you're not showing us anything from them, so we're not better off than before the 'announcements'.

Probably. We usually get one a month, but it probably won't happen until next week at the earliest, and it'll probably be later than that.

Day 19 of the Nintendo Direct wait, still no word. Have resorted in eating my Wii U game cases and discs for sustenance. Will have to resort to wii motes next in order to survive.

Or you know febuary when they actually have a major game release but really I don't see the need for another direct when they probably have very little to show that is new.

I think they're aiming at February, right now about the time Donkey Kong releases.

After all of these recent sales and financial issues, it would be nice to get a bit of reassurance. Therefore, I certainly hope we get a January Nintendo Direct.

Last years January direct was on the 23rd.. so maybe we're getting close. I'd like to believe we'll be getting one this month, who knows though. You'd think they would want to reassure their customers after all the bad news lately. :/

I hope we get one soon, we need one, like, right now. Because things are going downhill pretty fast.

There is still hope, they announce almost every direct the day before they launch it so I am guessing this thursday or friday

thats pretty much true. i have faith in nintendo, but they refuse to give anyone a bone. give me at least SOME new footage. i want X, Tropical Freeze, Bayo2, but i guess they don't want my money.

I want them to wait till E3 and actually do a real stage presentation like they used to. Then reveal all the big guns like Zelda, Metroid, a release date and official name for X, etc. If they do a direct for everything they're releasing this year, they certainly won't "win" E3 this year again just like last year. There is no comparing the media exposure and news they get from a stage presentation to a smaller Nintendo direct that not many people outside of us Nintendo fans care about.
