Topic: Game/Profile banners

I'm enjoying the new look NintendoLife. However I feel there's something wrong with the banners you see on game pages and user profiles. Each banner no matter how you slice it always comes out zoomed in an pixelated. Maybe this was intentional but it does look ugly. I'm hosting a picture that is 1920x500 but the viewing space of the banner appears to only be [width]x300 so everything gets zoomed in as I said earlier.

Any insight on how the banners actually work and resize would help. Maybe prevent it from resizing and the high res images won't look bad

Hey @OneBagTravel, it's probably more down to the fact that we're going to need to update all the artwork on our games as we only have them at the old resolution - once we've added new ones everything should look at a lot clearer

It might also help if you could actually change picture... Mine seems to be stuck on one and refuses to update. Bug?

EDIT: Okay it changed, I guess it's just very slow to update..

Hm, I went and saw that indeed my banner updated, but it looks terribly zoomed in on my phone.

So I went to change it and now it gives me an error.

Maybe give us a recommended size for banners, that way we can avoid the scaling issues?

Yeah, backloggery gives a recommended resolution. That may help a lot
