Topic: I just started collecting amiibo's yesterday

Villager was Unicorn, but they restocked and it's a Toys R Us exclusive for now. Anytime it's an exclusive to a store they usually get a mass abundance. Target had Dr Mario & Lottie in the thousands for like a month and Best Buy gets flooded with Falco on and off. Not always though, of course Rosalina & Jigglypuff were exclusives that came and went really fast. None of what you listed are hard to find in these parts except Mega Yarn Yoshi, Modern color 8-bit Mario, and the Pokemon ones, except MewTwo who is common and Pikachu who is pretty uncommon but you can usually find one or two if you look around. Chibi Robo is perhaps uncommon now that the game is a known flop. The Mii trio is also slightly uncommon except at Toys R Us, I see it pop up at Gamestop but they only ever have 1 or 2 packs. But I've read that the Pokemon ones are due for a big restock soon for Pokken Tournament. There was even mention of it on an article on this website too.
That's all how it is around my area, there are A LOT of stores for me to check in on too since I live in a very large city.

That list sort of needs an update, there have been a bunch of mass restocks in the past few months and there's stuff in there they consider rare that has been here very commonly for some time, but also stuff they call Uncommon or Semi Rare that I've not seen in months. Like DK or Pacman. DK is pretty much unicorn at this point because I've not seen him since the original first wave ended, and PacMan is everywhere.

Do you think I should pick up the pacman and donkey kong ones while we have them?
The mega yarn Yoshi is a little too much for me to spend.

Well I have both DK & Pac Man. DK was a gift and Pacman I got because he was one of the first characters I was familiar with as a kid, they really don't do much besides Smash. DK I used and is like my 2nd strongest Amiibo lol, but Pacman just sit's pretty. They opened the Mario Kart 8 costumes for me as well, which I use both on and off. So if you're collecting I would buy them for sure, but they're not really useful. I'd probably buy DK though because like I said, I've not seen him in ages. But there's always a chance he'll restock.
I bought Pacman when I thought he was kinda rare but he's been in stock ever since. He's just really common at the moment, no idea why other than Namco want's to get it out there. No regrets just kinda like Oh.
Jigglypuff might be slightly collectable. But they may restock that one too though...
DK or Jigglypuff are more rare, but the restock of Pokemon is in question, you can't tell if you'll have another chance to get it or not for retail price. They may choose to not restock Jigglypuff as much as other pokemon and it could sell out, or maybe it'll become common and you rushed out and bought it for nothing. DK is the least likely to be restocked unless they do another issue of the whole first wave. He's not used in anything except Smash and read-only games, and there's no upcoming DK game to warrant an exclusive release.

Slight update, turns out they restocked the Pokemon recently at GameStop. There's Charizard and Jigglypuff everywhere, and Lucario is in a few stores, Greninja is available to buy but it doesn't have a check availability button for some reason. As for DK, I checked and there are none NEW within 100 miles, and only 2 USED within 100miles of me. So he's pretty rare at the moment. I've not even seen him at independent used game stores.
