Topic: New 3DS or xl

hello everybody!
I currently own a 3ds xl and have considered either a new 3ds or new xl. I love the screens of the xl and found the original too small. The new 3ds is larger than the original so maybe it is big enough. Can anyone with some experience tell me which they would recommend?

Depends on whether portability and faceplates are big selling points to you or not. Also the XL has glossy covers while the regular has matte.

If you enjoyed the XL and won't miss the faceplates, I say get the XL. I live in America so our only option here is the XL, but I had been planning to get it anyway. I love the big screens and I like the glossy finish as well

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

Get the XL. Don't let people make you think faceplates are worth it because they aren't.

This pretty much or at least my opinion, also if you happen to get armor for your new 3DS...then you really wouldn't see the faceplates anyways.

Wow. I was convinced I was the only one on this site who didn't like the faceplates!

Thanks for your feedback, however I am still undecided. Basically I do appreciate the portability of the smaller model but want to know if the screens really are easy to read or too small. I too don't mind about faceplates.

I went from 3DS XL to New 3DS (Ambassador edition). The size to me is perfect. Sharper and not with so much pixels. Less weight as well. And I do like the cover plates and portability 😊

Is it really sharper? Since I have to trade in my defective New 3DS XL I am really considering the smaller model because I think the overall design looks better. But the presentation of the games is the most important factor for me. And I am not quite sure anymore if bigger is always better... What are your impressions?

Ill gladly get a New 3DS, got burned out of how big is the XL version, but since we dont get the normal one im kinda stuck with it :/

the N3DS feels a lot better, the extra screen will be more than enough

It looks sharper to me maybe because the screen isn't that blown up as the XL.
