I was just playing Publisher Dream (DSi) last month. It was just a silly little excerise for me. But I still look at DSi games, just wish they could go on sale like other eShop games
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I stopped since I can't store any more DSiWare games on my 3DS. I was anticipating an update (early on) that would allow DSiWare games to play off the SD card, but that never eventuated, and since then I've stopped buying any DSiWare games. It's a shame too as there are a few games that I'd like to try. Frankly, I think DSiWare devs are nuts for not porting their games over to the 3DS (if for no other reason than to increase their visibility in the eShop and perhaps enjoy that wee bit of performance/resolution boost that the 3DS allows).
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
I haven't played any DSiWare games for quite a while. The last time I played was about half a year ago when I bought Art Style: Picopict. I'd like to return to Picdun since I loved that game when I got it but I got stuck and it's a bit hard to get back into it now.
It's its, not it's.

I bought an American 3DS just to play a DSi game that was never released in the UK (Snapdots). I still play it every now and again and don't regret the purchase at all.
On DSi ware there is a few games I might play from time to time, Tetris party live which is no longer purchasable, Dr Mario, and Dracula's undead awakening, few games to pass away the time.
I don't really play them anymore, but I still do from time to time, such as Puzzle League Express (still waiting for a 3DS version like Dr Mario Miracle Cure), and the G&W games. The DSiWare versions have the best representations of the G&W games. I wish Nintendo would make more, especially my fave, Mario Bros.
The only DSiWare game I ever bothered downloading was the free Four Swords Anniversary Edition that was made available a couple of times. I still boot it up once in a blue moon just to play through one of the Realm of Memories stages again.
I was debating about getting Color Commando at one point.
Currently playing: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)

Oh another DSiWare I really like is Puzzler World XL.
For starters it's a port of a retail ds game, it has all the content of that original release plus more, and it's cheap.
It has (in large quantities) word search, anagrams, crosswords, link-a-pix (aka the best thing ever), Sudoku, spot the difference, memory games, and several other puzzles... and even a wheel you can spin for bonuses after each puzzle.
Almost 2000 activities in total in a 500 point download.

Good taste.
I'm a huge fan of the original game it's based on, Guru Logi Champs and did a handheld remake of it about 8 years ago for the Wiz, Gp2x, Caanoo and Pandora.

This goes deeper than I could've imagined! Looks faithful, well done.
A real shame Guru Logi never saw an official release outside of Japan as I'm sure it would be much more esteemed these days if it had cast a bigger net. A GBA puzzler in 2001 wouldn't have had too many people sticking their nose up at it.
I actually just started playing Crystal Monsters again yesterday. It's a poor Pokemon clone, but I was in the mood for a traditional turn-based RPG. It's been sitting on my DS since the DSi days, and I've always wanted to give this one more of a chance. It's definitely a poor man's Pokemon.

Mario vs DK Minis March Again
Shantae Risky's Revenge
Zelda Four Swords Adventures
Dragon Quest Wars
Those are my top picks. In particular, Dragon Quest Wars was developed by Intelligent Systems, same devs as Fire Emblem and Advance Wars and Code Name STEAM and Paper Mario and WarioWare. It was a 5 or 6 game deal struck with Square Enix. Definitely worth checking out.
