Announcing a price point and then increasing it later, regardless of the work involved, is very difficult to pull off. Especially for an indie title like this. And yes, $15 on the 3DS eShop is generally going to require a lot to justify a purchase, and not many games are able to sell themselves that well on the eShop.

The game is great and definitely worth the price specially since it adds infinite replay value considering that it has a level editor and online to share and play other levels. In case you want to check more about it:
A compilation of reviews, just in case anyone is interested. For the record, I agree with most, it's a great game with lot's of charm, tiht and fun platforming and infinite replay value thanks to an intuitive and fun level creators that offers many options.
And well, those are some reviews but you can look it up for yourselves and see that the game had a positive reception (except Pocket Gamer, that thought it was okay because there wasn't much story) with these reviews and others.
100% completed the game, it was really fun and charming, I strongly recommend it, you can even check out my review here
