I must say I’m enjoying Salamander III, though it’s a little frustrating that the scoreboard doesn’t save when you exit to the main menu. Your top score saves on the online ranking, but no way to save your high score board .
@antdickens PAL 60hz games still only run at 480i. The 480p option was only available to Japan and North America as it was only in these regionS that they were able to buy the Official Component cable to take advantage of it. If you have a Modchip in your PAL GameCube or use a SD Media Launcher then you can use Swiss to force PAL games into 480p. I’ve got an SD Media Launcher and a Carby HDMI adaptor and play my PAL games in 480p. They look stunning running at that resolution, especially FZero GX and StarFox Assualt.
@Knuckles-Fajita Yeah the PAL games had the progressive option removed from them. Through if you use the SD Media Launcher from Datel then you can use Swiss to force the games into progressive mode and get full 480p goodness with the Carby and this Component cable.
Mandarake is well worth a visit and Super Potato has a 2nd store in Tokyo in Ikebukuro. I found the best bargains in Book Off stores, though you don’t get the selection of the more specialised stores.
It’s a pity that the transparent model that ships looks so different to the original mock ups.
It’s gone from using clear plastic to a more smoked plastic, I gotta say I’m a little disappointed. It hasn’t stopped me from putting in an order. It’s just I wish they had stuck closer to the original design for the transparent model
@1UP_MARIO I also got the name of that other company that does mods mixed up. They're called oldskoolcondoles.com check them out maybe. But what ever way you do it, it will cost you
@1UP_MARIO the issue you have is that as you have a PAL N64 so you have to get the Tim Worthington mod to get RGB out of your N64, which adds extra cost. You'd probably be better off buying a RGB modded N64 off eBay and selling your N64 to cover some of the costs.
@MariOnline but not for home delivery and my local store doesn't have them either. More than likely some store somewhere in the UK has them which is why it is showing up on the site
I'm not a huge fan of Game, but nor do I want to see them go under. If they go under then that puts hundreds out of a job and that's not cool. It's management's fault they're in this mess, but it's the people on the shop floor that will suffer. Shame really.
I had one at launch and sold it I was low on cash and thought I'd be able to pick one up nearer to Xmas, but was never able to get another one at retail , my own fault I guess. Though if I'm honest I was always keener on the Famicom model anyway as I love all things Japanese. So when the announced they were going to stop production I searched the internet for a reasonably priced Famicom edition and managed to get one from Solaris Japan for just over £100. Not too cheap but cheaper than what the NES models are now starting to go for on eBay. It's more of a nice little collectors piece for me as I already own a Famicom AV . I hope we see a SNES/SFC version is released in the future.
It's not that great a deal considering the US got a similar model for $99. Yes the UK deal does come with a game, but never the less it's just another example of the U.K. and Europe having to pay more the the USA.

Here’s hoping that it gets a physical release. It would be nice for LRG since they’ve just put out Battle Garegga.

LE already sold out on Amazon U.K.
Re: Guide: Where to Pre-Order Your Super NES Classic Edition
and the SNES Mini has gone on the Game website. Though if they've re-opened a pre-order I'm assuming we may see others retailers do the same maybe?

Re: Nintendo UK Has Reopened Pre-Orders For Metroid: Samus Returns Legacy Edition
Missed it again I've got a feeling this is an LE that I'm not going to get my hands on. I'm still waiting for it to come up on Amazon.
Re: The Metroid: Samus Returns Legacy Edition is Up for Pre-Order on the Official Nintendo UK Store
What time did it go live? I got an email from Nintendo at 16:02 and when I noticed it some 20 later they had all sold out #gutted
