Re: Witcher 3 Switch Owners Can Claim The Switch 2 Remaster For Free

ArrrrPG

This really puts rocksrar on its heels.... CDPR giving out for free what fans didnt know they wanted. Rdr2 fans been asking for a simple current gen version, not even a remaster forever... Which wouldnt be free for sure if it ever came but probably wont... Shame Rockstar shame. I guess no need to rush playing gta6 now. Thx CDPR!

Re: Development On Final Fantasy 9 Remake Reportedly "No Longer Moving Forward"

The only real long term solution is for gamers to start making our own games honestly. Personally Im interested, but most people cant afford the time commitment. My personal contribution is almost only buying indies full price... I wait for games to show up on ps plus extra on sony's side and on Nintendo side my choices are limited but I do buy physical and rotate games by trading ones I finish. But my next buy is going to be Cast n Chill, I learned about this game on this site and truly if nintendolife cares about the industry, they should promote indies more (perhaps even only indies?). Its not like the big studios need marketing help... But I guess they do pay the bills as well... This comment is for the writers... Please balance and try to find a way to put indie studios first, they need all the help they can take right now...

@Fiq_Strife Suit logic is super simple. If it makes sense to fans dont do it, if it has potential to make millions and is a mobile game, definitely do it. Ignore all feelings and what fans demand. Remember none of those idiots play games or care about the industry. Its just spreadsheets and now probably they just ask AI which path to take will make more cash, which inevitably sends them down the gacha, service, paywalls and mobile gaming....

EDIT:
I just prompted AI, here is the result...
If the only goal is maximum profit, AI would say: make fewer, cheaper games built around live-service, multiplayer, sports, mobile/gacha, and established IP.
Go cross-platform, prioritize recurring revenue (subscriptions, DLC, battle passes, microtransactions) over $70 one-time purchases.
Cut studios, staff, and projects that don't directly contribute to those goals—and minimize expensive, risky single-player AAA games.

Re: Latest Physical Sales Data Proves The Format Is, In Fact, Dying

@Hank_Scorpio i understand the shift. Like i said, dont support it on ps6, fine. But to just stop while people are still indeed buying. And also Sony made money selling those addon disc drives to people, maybe refund them then... Or just support the freaking discs for ps5 only. Just make less, make it niche... Stopping mid-gen is simply unacceptable imo and unfair to those who bought into it.

Re: Latest Physical Sales Data Proves The Format Is, In Fact, Dying

@Hank_Scorpio yes... But its a niche market and much less candles are being sold. One key difference is that candles can be manufactured by anyone, physical games not. The social outrage for games is because no alternative path is provided and we cant just say "aight ill make my own physical games from now on". Anyway I have ps5 pro and made my peace long ago but I still dont like how this is playing out for players who cant choose... I have a friend who lives remote and with poor internet, digital isnt a good option for him, as an example....i feel for those who paid money for addon disc drives and now this.... I can live with ps6 not supporting but ps5 stings.
