After the previous two games in the 'Survivor' trilogy arrived on Switch 2 with no fanfare, we shouldn't be surprised by today's news. But alas, here we are! Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition has shadow dropped on Switch 2.

'Shadow' caps off the Tomb Raider trilogy in style, with Aspyr once again bringing it our way, bundled with the original release's seven DLC Challenge Tombs for $39.99. And for those who want to get in as quickly as possible, the dev is knocking 10% off full price on the eShop until 4th November.

The eShop page doesn't seem to be live at the time of writing, but we're sure it'll go up in the next few hours.

Here's a brief rundown of the game, courtesy of Aspyr:

Race to save the world from a Maya apocalypse. Lara must venture through deadly and exotic locations, surviving the unforgiving jungle and braving terrifying tombs to reach the legendary lost Inca city of Paititi. Using advanced stealth techniques and an arsenal of weapons, Lara has to stop the shadowy organization, Trinity, from stealing the power of an ancient god before it’s too late. Dive into Lara’s past while racing to save the future in this incredible final chapter of the Tomb Raider reboot, rebuilt for Nintendo Switch 2.

Explore beyond the story with Lara: raid deadly Challenge Tombs to unlock rewards, scavenge resources, craft gear, and complete side-missions.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition includes the base game, all seven DLC challenge tombs, 2-player online co-op, as well as all downloadable weapons, outfits, and skills.

For those who haven't picked up the first two games in the trilogy, Aspyr has also released the Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy today, bundling all three games into one package for $69.99. Again, we don't see the eShop page as we write this, but it should be up soon.

We have had a damn good time with the trilogy so far on Switch 2, awarding both games an 8/10 in our reviews. Here's hoping that the third entry can keep up, eh?
