Sega has announced it will be releasing a physical soundtrack for Sonic Frontiers featuring 150 tracks including the game's main theme song 'I'm Here'.
This six-CD collection titled 'Stillness & Motion' will also come with a 40-page book (featuring commentary from the team) and will be made available in Japan on 7th December for ¥8,000. The official Sonic Channel website also mentions a worldwide release will take place at the "same time". It seems it could be a streaming option for international audiences:
This announcement follows on from Sega's reveal of the main theme song as well as the game's ending theme song, 'Vandalize' by the rock band One Ok Rock.

Having physical media as an option is always good.
I was thinking about the effort from SEGA by providing a lot of merchandise for collectors yet their Sonic games are oftenly have some issues.
Does anyone still have a CD player that’s not collecting dust in the attic?
@PinderSchloss you are right that most of us don’t have dedicated CD players anymore, but most cars on the road have CD players (even if most new cars don’t include them). So there is that.
Also anyone with an Xbox One or Series X can play CDs on their console using an app. PS4/5, Wii and Wii U cannot play CDs though so that’s a bummer.
However, I guess most people interested in this would just want a nice piece of memorabilia on their shelf.
If they do use the CD it will likely be to rip the songs on their PC into digital media and play them through Spotify or whatever on their phones.
@PinderSchloss With disc drives, you can make digital copies of your own music at lossless quality, higher than what's available on YouTube, and often better than what's available for you to buy online. Also never need to worry about the song leaving the steaming service or a company issuing a copyright strike against the song.
@PinderSchloss It says "All 150 tracks will be released for streaming worldwide!🎧"
SEGA doing what Nintendon't 😔
@Clyde_Radcliffe Why on earth would Nintendo generate in income from streaming?
@Kienda yeah, a bummer that the PS5 doesn't handle it. Just like Dolby Vision, 3D....
@PinderSchloss Yeah? I have multiple. CDs, Vinyl and cassettes are my main way of listening to music.
@KillerTan98 Shhht, me too! But I do think vinyl would be a better collector’s item
@Kienda They took away the ability to play cd's on the ps4/5? Wow, I didn't know that. Seems like a strange thing to remove. I was playing cds on my ps3 just the other day, lol
@PinderSchloss I do! I just bought a new CD player this year.
@PinderSchloss Definitely agree there. XD
I have mixed feeling about the music, I would love to download the tracks I love on iTunes.
