Apart from Minecraft Legends and a few other reveals, Minecraft also got some of the spotlight during the Minecraft Live 2022 broadcast.
One of the many highlights was from DC Comics publisher and chief creative officer Jim Lee who announced the caped crusader Batman would be coming to Minecraft in a brand new DLC launch on October 18th (aka next week).
"In this DLC you use Batman's gadgets to explore Gotham and take on villians like Harley Quinn, Penguin and more as you unravel Joker's nefarious plot."
As part of this announcement, every Minecraft user can receive a free Batman Cap Character creator item. Here's a look:

I was recently consulted by DC to help with the localization for my country (as one of my jobs is that of a comic book translator and I've been working on DC stuff for the past year or so)
I’m surprised they even let you play as Batman here considering the gimmick of their soon to be released boring looking game which seems to be channeling their schlocky tv shows and that awful Avengers game.
