In a relatively low-key post from Pac-Man's official website to celebrate the franchise's 42nd Anniversary, it's been announced that a collaboration will launch between the classic Bandai Namco franchise and Epic's titanic battle royale game Fortnite.
According to the official post, 'items with the "Pac-Man" motif' will appear in Fortnite starting on Thursday, June 2nd. It sounds like this will be limited to apparel, meaning you likely won't be seeing Pac-Man himself trotting around the map.
No further information has been provided at this time, including specific items and appearances, but it's likely we'll be getting some more information sooner than later.
Before that, though, we're going to be getting a new update on May 26th that will add Star Wars' most eloquent Jedi Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi. And if that's not enough, Robocop has also been added to the game, expanding Fortnite's seemingly limitless 'multiverse' potential.
Let us know in the comments if you're looking forward to showing off some Pac-Man gear in June!

Regular human with Pac-Man head joins the fight
Can we at this point just assume every single franchise accross all media will at some point collaborate with Fortnite and retire it's news?
oh no oh lord they're giving Pac Man a gun
were all doomed
It's absolutely going to be a Pac-Man pickaxe, no doubt in my mind.
@GrailUK With that logic, we'll just assume Nintendo will host another Direct at some point and retire all Direct news.
Ah, yes. Epic Games must've had another boardroom meeting when someone asked the question, "How can we get more boomers to play Fortnite?"
@Olliemar28 Dammit, I didn't think it through hahahaha!
@CharlieGirl doubt they would make Pac-Man a skin so he won't be having no gun probably just be a default skin with Pac-Man themed clothes on or something
Pac-Man way too small to be an actual skin ingame there is a taller version of him and even still that one is too small as well
Sooner or later, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate may lose that title of "biggest video game crossover of all time" unless for some reason Sakurai randomly decides to continue working on it.
Ok, who is your guys favorite ghost? Mines is inky!
I swear if they give pac man a gun I’m gonna flip the puck out!
At this point, it's a matter of when rather than if for Nintendo characters. Fortnite is always going to be big and even when it's fanbase shrinks, Epic has the money to pretty buy out anything at this point
@Snatcher Clyde of course!
Waka Waka?, It's better:
Paku Paku
😋
Not sure what to think of Pac-Man in Fortnite, maybe if it were Pak Pak Man.
I'm genuinely starting to believe Namco would rather do any and every marketing campaign for Pac-Man, including making an official Pac-Porno before they would even consider remastering the Pac-Man World trilogy.
Pac-Man dropping in like:
It’s only newsworthy if they get Ms. Pac-Man in Fortnite.
And none of this “Pac-Mom” malarky 😐
Oh it's just weapon skins or a model with pacman all over it, for a second there I thought there would be big yellow circles running around. I know some of the skins have varying sizes but that would just be odd.
@Axecon Buying out? Haha uhh what. It's a collaboration..meaning they both get paid.
It feels like there's a new fortnite collab every week these days.
@ModdedInkling Not going to happen, because all the characters in Fortnite that doesn't use guns are just skins.Fortnite Ryu doesn't count as a actual Ryu,since he uses a gun instead of hadoukens, punches and kicks.A character isn't just the look, its the abilities too.
I swear theyll add my dead grandma to the game one day
