I got both, and enjoyed them for what they are. But what I really want is an HD2D remake of Legacy of Goku 1 and 2, Buu's Fury, and a new entry for Super. Those games were just plain fun. Combat could use a little oomph but I love the pixel look and music. Just update it all and add some new moves/abilities/etc
Got FighterZ for a 20 and bought all 3 seasons passes at different times on sle for a full 40. So felt like I bought a game with lot's of characters for €60.
Nice that you can try out some of the dlc this month.
Also Xenoverse but less my type of game. Also for 20.
Both are fantastic. Xenoverse 2 is a better Dragon Ball game and Fighterz is a better fighting game. Still, both are really good the other way around too.
It seems like Dragon Ball is now the 3rd biggest fighting game franchise, behind Super Smash Bros and Mortal Kombat, and ahead of Tekken and Street Fighter.
I purchased Xenoverse 2 near the beginning of the Switch lifespan but I admit I regret doing so because of the massive amounts of expensive DLC. I just bought the game because I'm a decent Dragonball fan but wasn't aware of all this DLC and probably should have looked into it. But once I found out I just.. haven't even touched the game since, because even just knowing all that expensive DLC exists ruins the experience for me. I know that it shouldn't, but it does, and I hate that it does.
If you ask me, DLC altogether never should cost more than the base game unless the DLC actually adds more than the base game has.
Expensive DLC seems to be a common trend to begin with in recent years. But I guess at least this isn't near Sims DLC price levels??? Not that you should make that a standard to not aim for as a developer.
DBZ games really need an eventual consolidated 'Complete Edition' that comes with all the DLC that trickles out for years... but no matter how long after initial release, it never
comes smh.
As an aside, my personal favourite DBZ games are:
I hope one day they make a DB game with a massive roster including everyone from all the series and movies like MvC2... and the roster isn't littered with paid DLC to access them all (pipe dream at this point I know).
... Wun can only hope.
They couldn't even do the kai of time quest? I stop Playing X because I'm waiting for the event the come back, whatever.
But there all Amazing games, And they go on sale often, if your on the fence, Just buy em.
Nice and to think both games are the only two Dragon Ball games right now that had brand new storyline and contents unlike the many that came before it which tend to always re-adapted the same lame Raditz arrive on Earth beginning like the show. While it's nice to see the Dragon Ball Z storyline adapted or re-explain for new generation of DBZ fans, for us old timer who had stick with the series from the very beginning, it just got old really quick time and time again.
@wuntyme8 That game already exist, it's called Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for PS2 and Wii. It featured almost every characters from Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, and all the Dragon Ball movies. I'm sure if they had done a Tenkaichi 4, characters from the Dragon Ball Heroes, Kai, and Super series would had been included as well.
@Classic603 I would like a legacy of goku collection on switch similar to the mega man and castlevania collections
@PuppyToucher
A re-release, remaster, remake, I don't care. I want more lol. The series was a blast
Of course , they are at 90% discount pretty much every week
