Fire Emblem Warriors isn't far away, which will bring high-tempo minion slaughter / fort capturing to the franchise. Considering the general fun to be had in Hyrule Warriors there's plenty to be optimistic about, especially as Fire Emblem is an IP particularly well suited to the Warriors template.

Nintendo has published the opening cinematic video, which does a nice job of picking up on style of cinematics seen in the more recent 3DS releases. That'll surely be a big part of the appeal with this game, especially due to the stated goal of making the action play out like those stylised cutscenes.

It'll be interesting to see how it shapes up on both Switch and New 3DS; Nintendo's unsurprisingly focused on footage of the Switch version, only giving brief glimpses of the dedicated portable's iteration.
