Topic: Take your Guesses! When will the next Direct be?

Ok, so the last Nintendo Direct was February 13th. It's been almost two months since it happened! Therefore, April is shaping up to be the month that will hold the next Nintendo Direct.

What day do you think the Direct will be on? Or will we not have a Direct this month? Make your guess below!

Personally, I think it is going to be on April 17th for two reasons. First, it's a Thursday, and while I know it happens on other days as well, Thursday seems to be a likely bet. Second, because April 17th was the date of a Direct that occurred last year, and that particular Direct was incredible.

It sounds wishful thinking more than anything else.
My guess will be 1 week after yours, because April is a big month for Nintendo, Download-wise. I think once that's all been cleared out, Nintendo can give us some details on Mario Golf, give us the announcement for Tamodachi Life, and announce Fossil Fighters Champions and a new slew of Art Style games after Nintendo trademarking the name "Aquari" got leaked.

April 22nd. Random guess.

We prolly won't get one until May cuz of Mario Kart 8. Its kinda funny though cuz Nintendo gave huge spotlight to PK X/Y and Animal Crossing: New Leaf WAYYY before they released.

Hmmmm...yes, that's a valid point that I failed to consider. Still, my guess remains the same. Those are the rules of the game, after all.

Randomness is justifiable enough. I mean, we are talking about Nintendo.

Almost three months between Directs? I highly doubt that. No, Kirby and Mario Golf come out May 2nd in the US, so an April Direct is more likely. An interesting thought, nonetheless.

April 3rd, surprise Mario Kart direct

Anyday between 11-28 april, since im free from school and i want to hype it up here at home and not at school or work.

I'll go a step further for predictions. April 17th seems pretty likely. 3DS announcements Direct (if there's no Wii U Metroid announcement coming, I'm expecting Metroid 3DS), more Mario Kart, a release date for everything else Wii Sports Club, and a new Wii U first party eShop title (or an announcements for NES Remix 1+2 as a retail release like Japan).

I guess I'll go with April 24th? Just a random guess. I'd say late April if we get anything at all this month. More Mario Kart stuff is the only guess I have.

I still think Nintendo is stacking ammo for E3, so if we see a Direct at all this month or next month, it'll be skinny... and then we won't hear anything else until E3.

I am going to say June 10th, yep E3. I like it when Directs surprise me.

Directs have usually been on a two month basis with a game release usuay being an outlier.

Last year for example had a direct every month till E3.

I'm thinking either the 15th, 16th, 22nd, or 23rd, since they usually do Directs on Tuesday or Wednesday. They're going to need to do one this month to show off Kirby Triple Deluxe and Mario Kart 8 (isn't there something else coming out in May too?). I don't think it's going to be a very exciting one unless they have new game announcements, it's probably just going to show off the new games releasing in May and a bunch of eShop stuff mainly.

I'm going to just go ahead and set the bar low and say there won't be a direct, and everything will be piled on at E3...

Yeah, I agree with this guy - why? Because IGN (see twitter, Neogaf) are hinting something. So I'm guessing a few hours from now a suprize Nintendo Direct, detailing Mario Kart, with a downloadable demo - for sales hype reasons.

Pure speculation. Currently 7.15pm NZDT here, thursday night, (no idea what time IGN works on) so we shall wait and see.

April 24.

Guys, they wouldn't have a Direct under such short notice. I know they tend to announce them the day in advance, but at least in that timeframe everyone can plan accordingly. If there was a Direct happening soon, we'd know about it from Nintendo themselves. The IGN thing is probably something else.

Ah yes, I knew it was something forgettable.

They don't have nothing really to cover in a direct not unless they confirm release dates for all the future Wii U games this year. Another direct showing the only confirmed Wii U game Mario kart which we know comes out on May 30th is not needed. Along with showing us all the GBA games, We need real news of stuff coming out. It was the same wait last year everyone saying wait until E3 but all Nintendo did at E3 was confirm what we already knew. The only big announcement was Hyrule Warriors in a direct before Christmas apart from that it's been the same old. Starfox? New Zelda? Metroid? Confirmed release dates where are you? Gamecube games VC? N64 Games VC? Wii Games remade in HD? Share or do something Nintendo PLEASE!
