I've been at this game for about 5 hours now and I have to say, this might very well be the best XBLA game ever created. WOW this game is amazing! Comes out on July 13th. Do NOT miss this one if you own an Xbox 360. But be warned, despite the game being a downloadable XBLA release, it's a WHOPPING 1.94GB!!!

I'll be posting some impressions right here in this post on Monday now, due to the embargo. I'm nice like that.

I played a demo of the first one and it was alright. I'll probably download the demo for this one too and try it out.

Looking forward to your impressions Corb. I am dying to play this game. It will be a day one download for me.

I'm in the very slim minority of classic-difficulty platformer fans who got absolutely nothing out of the first game whatsoever.

Would Ms. offer me any reason to give it another shot?

This.

Just for you.

I consider the first game a platforming masterpiece, but Ms. Splosion Man is WAYYYY better than it was. I'm shocked at Phil not liking it, considering his love of Mega Man.

I wasn't really thinking about getting this since i wasn't sure if it was really going to be different enough from 'Splosion Man (which i still need to finish) ... but then i thought about the Pac-Man vs Ms. Pac-Man distinction.

So Corbs, what are the main differences that makes Ms. a better game? I'll check out the demo no matter what, but i'm always curious to hear your take on things.

She-Ra is awesome. If you believe otherwise, you are clearly wrong.

Honestly, I was shocked too! At some point I want to give it another proper try. I'll be honest...I gave it more than a fair chance the first time around, but I'm willing to go back and prove myself wrong!

But you'd recommend I just grab Ms. instead then? I'm not opposed to doing it...I have respect for the developers and what they tried to do. It's just that the game didn't reach me the way they intended I guess.

We'll see! Your more thorough thoughts are eagerly anticipated.

Impressions now coming on Monday due to the review embargo

I will say that this is one of the funniest games I've ever played. Do NOT miss the intro of the game, it's hilarious.

@CB - i'm with you...I played the first a bit and didn't enjoy it much at all. The central mechanic just didn't make me want to keep playing.
