Topic: Voice Chat(headset)

So I'm not sure if Nintendo talked about this but will they have headset capabilities for voice chat. If not I'm not sure what to think about that I feel like Nintendo is so behind maybe they just don't listen

There is no official word. The capability is certainly there in terms of the hardware.

I hope so that would be a big let down if we can't use a headset or bluetooth

They kept saying "smart device" so my assumption is that the headset would need a jack that fits into whatever phone you have for that to be a possibility?

As of right now, Nintendo is saying voice chat cannot be done on the system, but on a smart-device app. Right now the plan is for voice chat, as well has friends lists and messages, to be handled exclusively by smart-devices, not the Switch hardware itself.

This means you would use the typical hardware of your phone, headphone w/ mic., or tablet to chat—in Reggie's words "instead of having some sort of bulky gamer headset[…]."
