A forum to list and discuss your top 10 switch games. There are forums that already cover this, but they haven't been commented on for 2 years. So I decided to make this.
My list
10. Sonic frontiers
A breath of fresh air not only for the sonic series, but for gaming as a whole. It's so different, and I appreciate that. Great music, bosses, and controls make this game a must play.
9. Super Mario 3d world+Bowser's fury
It's 3d Mario. Enough said.
8. Splatoon 3
A game that is the best of what modern online games have to offer. Updates keeping things fresh, plenty of modes, and a spectacular story mode. And big man.
7. Portal 2
Simply one of the best games ever. Incredibly fun and intuitive puzzle design is all here of course, but what really makes it great is the story.
6. Monster hunter rise
It's monster hunter. Enough said.
5. Metroid dread
One of the most meticulously well crafted games I've ever seen. Superb frantic and fun combat. Endlessly replayable
4. Super smash bros ultimate
Do I need to say more?
3. Donkey Kong country tropical freeze
A game I'll never get tired of. Perfect level design and great music make this game unforgettable.
2. The legend of Zelda: breath of the wild
Open world games perfected.
1. Super Mario Odyssey
It's like Mario, but with a never ending list of stuff to collect. Also had one of the greatest endings I've ever seen.
I enjoy a good Gamefaqs-ish thread every now and then.
As a Switch owner who prefers third party games over first party games my list might differ from most.

Lots of caveats with this list. There's a bit of recency bias because I replay most of these almost every year. And I'm only listing games I've played from start to finish. There are many, many, many many many...ahem, many games I've put some time into yet haven't finished.

I haven't even finished Metroid Prime Remastered and it's already in my top 10!!
Streamworld Dig 2 and Alien Isolation are underrated games in my opinion, I think they are recognised as good games, but I think if they had been released by Nintendo they would be even more highly regarded within the Nintendo community.

I've just got my first Switch having always stayed clear of handhelds before, in favour of PC and Xbox. Tired of both of the latter years ago and was really surprised by how much I like the Switch! As such I've barely got 10 games and the order might change over time. My purchase list was made up from watching countless videos, reviews and looking at best of threads like this. So, at the moment:
1) Super Mario Odyssey
2) Monster Hunter Rise
3) Xenoblade Chronicles 3
4) Metroid Prime
5) Metroid Dread
6) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
7) Luigi's Mansion
8) Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze

10) It Takes Two
The top 2 slots will doubtless change once Zelda Tears of the Kingdom drops next month and Metroid Prime 4 whenever it drops I also fancy Hogwarts Legacy, maybe all 3 for Xmas
@Kraid That's a really solid list of games right there. My biggest recommendation would be the sunbreak dlc for rise (if you don't have it already). It doubles the content of the game and is still getting updates months after release.

I listed 12 because I couldn't really decide how to narrow it down to 10. Also, I fully expect Tears of the Kingdom and Silksong to be even better than the preceding titles. I also fully expect Pikmin 4 to be a top 10 game for me.
The most surprising exclusions from my lsit are Mario Odyssey and Metroid Prime Remaster. Odyssey was a game I adored at first but now I don't really enjoy it. In contrast, my appreciation for Bowser's Fury has only grown with time.
Prime is a very good game, but I think Echoes is so significantly better that I can't really enjoy Prime anymore (plus I've beaten it more than a dozen times in the last 20+ years). I did buy the remaster and complete it, but I'll never touch that game again.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll take a look and add that to the list. Is it a paid DLC or is it something that's tied to Nintendo Online membership (which I am trialling now and, as I don't play online, I'm trying to fathom if I need - it might come in handy to play vs my wife at home though as, unless we have a Family Online membership I don't think our two devices (yes we are even planning a second one LOL) can talk to each other).

@Kraid@sketchturner I'm pleased to see Alien Isolation on your lists, it is such a good game!! I played it last year for the first time and it was so much better than I was expecting.
