And no, I still don't want to add those 3D action-adventures with big areas. This thread is 'Open World Discussion' so I rather not open a different can of worms.
It's not really a "different can of worms", in a lot of instances the line between an open world game and a 3D action-adventure can be pretty blurry (see: Odyssey, Legends Arceus). Even if they're not technically open world games, they're similar gameplay styles that emphasize the same elements (especially exploration) and appeal to mainly the same markets. There's a LOT of overlap between the two styles so I see no reason to exclude them.
