As the title says, has anyone played the Town of Light on the Switch? It seems like no one has because I cannot find a single review for it or footage of it, apart from promotional material and videos of the PC/PS4/Xbone versions.
It's garbage on Switch (poor rendering, bad frame rate, other visual bugs), so I don't recommend it.
However, if some other poor soul has bought it, have you been able to get past Chapter 6? It seems there is a bug that prevents you from progressing at all. If you've been able to finish the game, I'd love to hear how you did it!
I haven't gotten it yet, but it is on my list. I heard both that one and Close to the Sun (from the same publisher I think) are pretty rough, but I was hopeful I could overlook it and just try to experience the story. Game-breaking bugs are not cool though. That could be an issue.
From what I was able to play and what I’ve seen online, this game lost a ton of atmosphere due to the hit in graphics. The Switch version lost almost all lighting effects, so whereas other versions actually have dark rooms which require you to use your flashlight, the Switch version is strangely bright. Your diary isn’t legible at all because it’s all blacked out. The environments are so muddy, and trees and buildings pop in and out constantly. It’s a train wreck.
