Topic: Can't play dead cells...

So I downloaded the Dead cells + castlevania dlc bundle. I'm aware the dlc is yet to be released, but I wanted to play the base game this evening. I attempted to do so, and I was informed by a message that neither the main game, or the dlc is currently available...Can anyone explain to me why this is? I should be able to play base dead cells right? Kinda frustrating tbh.

@OldManHermit Can you send a screen shot? That sounds odd for sure.

@Snatcher I'm not sure how I can share a screenshot here, but upon clicking on the Dead Cells icon on my switch I receive the message,

"The console will use the internet to check whether this software can be played"

after a few moments, a second message appears,

"You cannot play this software or downloadable content yet. Please try again later.

Restarting the console or entering Nintendo eShop will have no effect on the availability of this content."

I even deleted my initial download and re-downloaded Dead cells alone without the dlc, and received the same response. So yeah, seems like I'm just going to have to wait...for whatever weird reason.

@OldManHermit It really must be a glitch, it think it’s dlc which shouldn’t happen, I will look into this more.

I think I know why now. I looked at the bundle information, it says pre order, so pretty much, you pre orders the bundle I think, and it isn’t out yet.

Im in the same situation, I just preorder to finish te game before the launch of the Castlevania DLC.

@OldManHermit No problem, wile I don’t think normally that’s how pre orders work, that seems to be the issue. If I find out anything else I will let you know.

I too am having this issue even though I own this game on a second account which I have both accounts on the same switch. I was able to play this game on the second account before I preordered the Castlevania bundle because I wanted to own the game on my second account as well. But now I cannot play the base game on either account. I did find out that apparently this is a feature known to be on the switch for preorders which I find stupid and inconvenient. I hope Nintendo fixes this because it’s pathetic that I can’t play a game I already own because of a preorder licensing restriction that now prevents me from playing the base game.
