Thanks as always for the heads up! I did hear word of this Ake-Aka sale Thursday night, but I must confess I was a little disappointed it was another Taito sale. Purely for selfish reasons! I already own the Cozmic Collection, all 4 Taito Milestone collections, plus a fully-stocked Taito Egret II Mini console. So, I already own all but Crazy Balloon, MegaBlast, Space Cruiser, and Space Seeker.

That said, I'm a little tempted by Crazy Balloon. 48 stages of tension!
You would think a trackball would be perfect for moving the balloon through the mazes, but apparently the original arcade control panel was 4 buttons (UDLR) and you would hit 2 buttons simultaneously for diagonal moves.

I can't speak for Monty, but of these 10 titles, I would highly recommend Darius (dah-RAI-us) and Darius II, unless you are averse to shoot 'em up games.
Darius and its sequel are absolutely iconic, foundational games for the genre. They're tough! But visuals, music, and gameplay are top-notch for the era and worth every cent of those prices.

@Teksette Thanks for your recommendations! They do look cool. The description for both mentions them including the "3 screen versions". I don't think I would ever be able to take advantage of that, but it sounds awesome.
