Is anyone else starting to become worried that a price increase is coming due to the radio silence? I get that 'world events' are making it so Nintendo can't share the price / preorder date right now, but the silence from them is pretty damn heavy. How much higher would the price have to go for you all not to buy one, if you were getting one anyway?
What region are you at? PreOrder dates probably limbo because of tariffs negotiations in Vietnam as those are going to Canada and the US will be affected.
At the very least, we know Nintendo will start sending out preorder invites on their site May 8th. Also take it with a grain of salt, but rumors indicate retailer preorders will open before the end of the month.
@Konsori I don't think that's likely because they reconfirmed that May 8th date pretty recently. I wouldn't worry too much. They don't really have a reason to push them back more. Important thing to remember is that the Switch 2 units being shipped to the U.S. are from Vietnam, not China, so tariffs aren't nearly as big of a factor (at least for right now).
Just noticed on Nintendo's Switch 2 pre-order site (https://www.nintendo.com/us/gaming-systems/switch-2/how-to-buy/), that they say that the first batch of invitations to purchase the console will be sent out on May 8th, 2025. I haven't seen this announced anywhere else and not sure if it is new information or not, or if it is just leftover from the original post.
