Topic: Play Activity Not Syncing With Some Games After September 2026 Update

My Zelda TotK play activity shows 260 hrs, which is from when I played it on Switch 1 back in 2023. It's not added the 45 hours that I've spent in the Switch 2 Edition. I've been playing it every day since the update, but it still won't add those hours on.

There's also SMBW + Bellabel and Zelda EoW which have the opposite problem. I can see 10 hours in Mario which was spent 100% completing Bellabel Park, and 15 hours in EoW, which was from a 2nd playthough I completed on Switch 2 three days ago. It won't show my Switch 1 hours for them.

Is anyone else having trouble with the play activity not syncing for these three games, or have they worked for you?

I am, most of my games appear to be updating, but AC Shadows just will not update it's playtime. I got to about 24hrs before the update and it's been stuck on 24 hours since despite me putting in like 6 hours since then. It's incredibly frustrating and for me, makes me want to stop playing until they fix the issue...

I haven't seen any issues with my own play activity but some of my friends' activity is very skewed. It doesn't show their most recently played games at the top of the list like it should.

Same problem , I’ve contacted support however not much help.

Okay so it's not just happening to me then. I'm just gonna keep playing them to see if it changes and hope that Nintendo irons out these issues with the next minor update. I'll let you guys know if any of them start synchronising properly.

The fact it’s inconsistent by game is the bit that makes me think this is a sync problem rather than the hours being lost. I’d avoid resetting anything for now and keep an eye on whether the profile catches up after a few days. If anyone reports it to Nintendo, the useful detail is probably the title, which edition was played, and whether the old or new hours are missing.

It's funny you should say that because my TotK just synced up correctly and is now at 295 hours! I didn't touch my Switch 2 yesterday and when I checked this morning the hours were showing properly. I think your theory is correct so I'm going to wait to see if the same happens with Echoes of Wisdom and Mario Wonder

@LXP8 what did you do to fix? Did you just keep playing? Cuz I tried deleting my playtimes and it decreased like 5 hours. It’s stuck at that now. The wierd thing is The Nintendo Store app on my phone shows my correct playtimes and updates accordingly.

@ates I just went on my Switch 2 after leaving it for a day and my TotK hours had corrected when I looked today. I think maybe Nintendo is ironing any issues with how the update works behind the scenes, so it may be best to do nothing and see how they are in a few days time.

@LXP8 Did you put it in sleep mode or did you power it off?
