I currently have a Nintendo switch and play mainly first party titles.
I’m thinking of greeting a PS4 for Christmas. Is the physical version of power Rangers better to get on switch or PS4 (based on the online release versions so far)
& also what other PS4 games are good for me to get. My favourite games are Mario, DK tropical freeze on switch. I like a more family kind of game I remember from my ps2 days were jak & daxter, crash bandicoot, Spyro etc.
@boyd88 I think the physical version of power rangers was published by limited run (i.e. it's no longer available from them) but they did have stock available at best buy in America. No idea if they still have it in stock or how it would work ordering from an American supermarket to the UK. Thought I'd let you know but I apologise for being the barer of bad news!
I also believe the physical version has the update from the end of the the season 1 dlc on the disc/cart bu I'd assume t it would update to whatevers most recent when you pop it in your console. Though the season 2 and 3 character passes do cost additional money.
As for switch Vs PS4, I only have the switch version of the game (digitally) and it's fine. I don't play online so I'm not sure how the communities stack up but the game does have cross play between certain platforms (not sure which ones).
Based on your selection I would recommend the crash and spyro trilogies! Also crash team racing if you are a fan of Mario kart though it is a lot more challenging but is really fun once you get used to it. The Uncharted games are developed by the same people who made the original crash games and jak and daxter games, they're more cinematic and adult and have some strong language but I'm a big fan of them. All except one PS Vita title from that series is available on PS4

Honestly I couldn't say as I only have crash/spyro on PS4, I'd imagine the graphics might be better but I duno really!
Sounds like youre a fan of 2d and 3d platformers but I struggle to think of any on PS4 that aren't on Switch, at least ones I've played. I think little big planet 3 is on PS4 but I've never played it. In terms of fighting games, injustice 2 and Dragonball fighterz aren't so grisly but you'd probably get more out of them if you were a fan of DC and DBZ respectively.
I mainly use the PS4 for their exclusive titles but I've also played and enjoyed the metal gear solid games, mortal Kombat XL, Tony hawk's Pro skater 1+2, soul calibur 6, Doom etc, not sure how much of that would be up your alley.
