What were you most excited to use with the 10.0.0 button mapping capability? Personally I was super hyped to finally play Splatoon with a southpaw stick layout.

I could see this feature being useful in games with awkward default settings like Resident Evil Remake, and some RPGs and other simpler games, to make them playable with one hand/joycon.

But I would prefer if it could be configured on a per-game basis, instead.

Yeah, it seems like it would make more sense to have it revert to those controls automatically every time when you open the software as the user you assign it to. At least you can save the settings as presets though.

While admittedly a very cool feature I’m happy to see, Especially since NSW uniquely benefits from this more so than other consoles, given the side buttons are also assignable and you can rotate the orientation of the joysticks to make a sideways joy con work in a vertical orientation, etc.

I do have to agree with @Noble_Haltmann that assigning on a per game basis would make a TON of sense, and would be incredibly impactful.

And, while I know it’s probably beyond the scope of reality, I would still love to see gyro be able to be mapped to camera movement as STEAM lets you do. It’s not that big of a deal on switch because the vast majority of games, especially 3rd party, include gyro. It’s a feature that would be way way way way way more impactful on the other consoles. But still. I’d be happy to see it even on Switch, because there are still the occasional games here in there that don’t implement gyro.
