I'm a little interested in Intellivision Lives! for the DS, and it comes out in a few days (Sept. 14 in the US).
It has 60 classic games from action to sports games. Some of them were even developed, but not released in the 80's. Best of all, its only 15 bucks. Seems like a great deal to me, considering that I've always wanted to play Intellivision games.
But apparently, when the PS2, GC, Xbox, and PC versions were released years ago, there were some control issues because of a 16-button layouts on the original titles. But I wonder if the DS version will have better controls.
May have to wait for a review first, but who else in interested in this?
I intend to order it from the Intellivision shop; the 14th isn't set in stone by the way as the publisher is still trying to line-up retailers.
I thought the use of the c-stick on the Gamecube was a poor interface choice; your only alternative was blocking part of the screen to press the keypad with the control stick - awful. The DS should be the best yet since it appears the overlay will be displayed at all times. Unfortunately I don't think the Imagic games are on this collection; I was really hoping to finally get a shot at Dracula or Microsurgeon.
@Sean Aaron: I was going to post this link for you the other day, but I forgot and additionally, I realized you didn't live in the US, so you probably wouldn't care if it were released here. Looks like they pushed the release back a month, doesn't really appeal to me personally, but then again, it came before my time. http://www.ebgames.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id... What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.
@sykotek: Well I will be importing (no European release I'm aware of) so I'm still interested. September was getting a bit pricey anyway, so another month is fine with me - besides it'll be the same month as Williams Pinball Classics - woooooo!
