And there's more.. Far more than I can think of right now at this moment.
If you still want to say there's 4 games, go ahead. Reality should dawn on you at some point. And these games don't appeal to you, that's your problem. Not Nintendo's. And not the developer's who at least put in effort in making these great games. Laugh at Just Dance 2 and Rock Band. I'm trying to cover a broad range of games available on Wii, even if those two games don't appeal to me personally- a good game is a good game.
And Metacritic? Yeah, never logged in on their website once, personally. As I don't base my views on gaming based on bandwagon hopping or another's person's opinion and take it as fact.
@Kyloctopus Don't forget EBA, Clubhouse Games, and a few others like Trace Memory and Rhythm Heaven. Seems like even then, Nintendo has produced or published new IPs, more than Microsoft regardless. Far more.
Those who say Lucas is a clone of Ness probably did not spend enough time playing the game to realize the two have major distinct differences. Now, Toon Link is another story- he should have had the Deku Leaf, Skull Hammer and Bombchus items. Hopefully his moveset is changed.
Falco is fine as is (again, he is distinct from Fox in Brawl compared to Melee). Ganondorf can have his moveset more varied (possibly sword use) but he's certainly different from Falcon- prefer him anyhow. So, basically, clone characters are nearly nonexistant in Brawl.
Its easy to look at things superficially. But investing as much time as I did in Brawl, I can feel the difference between these "clone" characters.
Hope no characters are removed. Adding 10 more to bring up to 50 should be enough. And since 3DS and WiiU are capable of patching, going back to patch and balance the roster shouldn't be a problem.
It's for the best, I guess. Better to adapt and change things up to stay in the game. Always have faith in them, personally. Feel sorry for those who lost jobs..
I was going to get it regardless. But hearing how about it's inevitable improvements leaves my mouth watering- this is what I've truly wanted and fixes most if not all the qualms I have with the current model.
Are people still failing to realize that a 3DS with an additional circle pad would then require a ZL and ZR button? Meaning, it'll be MUCH more thicker than it should be which would result in more incessant whining.
They say "Nintendo don't get it" but I actually see it the other way around.
If they release this in the US, I'm assuming they'd go the Digital Route to avoid costs of selling it at retail... or something. Nintendo should definitely look to publishing this game- heck, their own Monolith Soft is developing it
But I'm keeping my hopes low with a tad bit of optimism.
It's dem genes.. And I'm afraid I'll be looking youthful at his age as well at the rate I'm going. But we both look fab
Anyhow, looking forward to him speak. I remember he did speak for some conference a week or so before Brawl's launch where he discussed his development philosophy and showed some gameplay of Brawl (focus on character choices and Sonic).
I think the price will come down as the release nears. I remember loads of retailers competing and knocking down prices when 3DS released.. Some threw in bonuses too.
I count 9-10 Super Mario Bros games (2D platformers), 4 3D platformers (5 if you want to count SM3DL) in the span of nearly 30 years. And yet, CoD is already catching up to Mario's 2D adventures in less than 10 years the series debuted and loads of journalists and ignorant gamers complain about too many Mario games but turn around to praise CoD and other yearly released games.
There's only 1 game coming out for WiiU this holiday? I thought it was like 20 or something..
And I agree with Reggie because it makes sense. The ones offended are the one who are guilty of being ungrateful. Nintendo has loads of games to just cram them in to the last quarter. Don't forget the 3rd party games too.
Let's put this into perspective. This requires thinking caps, folks.
Say, they release, just a scenario: Mario Kart, Pikmin, Smash Bros, Animal Crossing, F-Zero, Starfox, Mario, Kirby, Metroid, Pokemon, and a new IP in the last 4 months.
Now, three of those games were supposed to be launched in the first months of the following year, but let's allow the "gamers" to have it their way. You have those games. Lots of people, surprisingly, are able to get ahold of all of them and ultimately "beat" then (Obviously you can't really beat Mario Kart and F-Zero considering they can keep being played, same for Animal Crossing). So, now, the first 6 months there's no games rolling on out. This is what we call "le drought". Something loads of people complain about. So, now that you got what you asked, you don't like the repercussions- mind you, some of the games I've named have ever lasting replayability but you still want more. Well, that's when I say: "Too bad". Also, this goes for 3rd parties too- what if they cram all their games in the final months and not space releases out accordingly? The only benefit is that maybe down the line, the price will drop on those games as people are too busy playing Nintendo's 1st party titles which then affects the 3rd parties thinking of: "Why bother bringing these games over when we're not going to get money back out of what we produced?"
For those following Nintendo closely, you should have already known that they were planning to space releases out to prevent cannibalization of sales as well as impact 3rd party software sales. Don't get mad just because the truth is too much to bear- this is how things work. If you're not interested in the games Nintendo is bringing out this year (or even 3rd party games), then honestly, I have to say tough luck. Be patient and wait for a game of your interest to roll on out. Or, maybe try having an open mind and playing games you never thought you'd enjoy. Swallow your pride.
With that said, I am a tad gutted about no Animal Crossing this year for us, but with Paper Mario, Luigi's Mansion, Pokemon Black 2 and so on, I think it'll tide me well over and I won't have to worry about a drought early next year. Look at the positives and end result, folks.
Cannot wait. This is the ideal 3DS for me. Couldn't be more excited to upgrade. Last time, was to DSi and that was a significant change from DSlite starting with cameras and DSiShop. This one is going to be PERFECT for my Art Academy and Colors! 3D. My digital paintings
Crossing my fingers for Animal Crossing! Love these Direct Videos. Besides Pokemon, Last Story and Kirby for DS and Wii, I wonder what other games will be shown.
You all know Renegade Kid is based in the US right? That's why the price is high probably because of the localization fees associated to bring the game over to EU.
Personally, I thought the game was ok. Not going to say that's its not worth $10 as I don't have the right to determine their value of their game, but it wasn't worth my $10...
I first played this on eReader though technically, in Game and Watch Gallery 3. Decent game... Stupid physics and a small fall busts his... Ok, it hurts him bad and he dies.
I may or may not get this game. Then again, $60 for extra features and ALL DLC included is enticing. Don't have a 360 or PS3 of my own and I rather invest in an inevitable $350 WiiU than a $300 X360 (which really needs to come down in price by now).
This year's E3 focused on needless violence in games. Hope next year there's a wide array of games. But judging from the audience that watches E3, TGS seems like the place for all the creative games.
@Aviator I know TF2 is a great F2P game. Spiral Knights is good except for the transactions part- then again, they have to make money somehow and it's quality software.
They should not consider free-to-play since most of the time, it's not even free at all. Also, imagine a F2P Mario game where you can only play a few levels at a time and have to purchase "energy" to keep going. No thanks.
Animal Crossing could work, but I'm not using real money to purchase furniture or bells.
It's a waste of effort and resources when they can be focusing on games we have to pay for that is of top quality.
Of the big 3, Sony stole my heart. However, the lack of Vita games hurts me
I want a Vita but they haven't convinced me enough to get one... Nintendo showed 23 games on WiiU (which is a lot) and 3 big 3DS hits coming out in two months and then holiday season... Don't know if I can afford the big hits at once...
Microsoft's presentation was lame. All these Xbox Music and ESPN crap should have not been shown at E3.
Wow.. I don't understand why the folks of Eurogamer did not go out of their way to piece things together- the WiiU's POWER7 chip (CPU) is considered "2 generations ahead" of 360's Xenos, with it's GPU based on the R7XXX series. Obviously, the games showcased aren't going to be leaps and bounds. And even then, the leap isn't going to be tremendous like the leap from N64 to Gamecube. If you look at the games for X360 back in 2005 and even mid-2006, the look of games weren't even significantly different from the previous generation. Too see WiiU's games come up to par with 360/PS3 games is good enough.
The problem with WiiU's GPU, though, is that it's supposedly 3 generations behind modern PC tech. Then again, PC's have always been getting yearly upgrades so it's no surprise. And the fact that WiiU's tech is based off of 2010 and 2011 technology, that's pretty modern...

Your loss. And if you're going to "follow" a crowd, go ahead. Base your opinions on games you've never played based on what others say.

Don't make me pull out my list of phenomenal 3rd party games on Wii- majority of them exclusive. It's like treading on a landmine field.
