Last month, Bethesda released a new update for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered on the Switch 2.

It was loaded with a bunch of fixes, but it didn't take long for players on Nintendo's hybrid platform to notice changes to the visuals in docked and handheld mode. Bethesda also acknowledged this in a statement, noting how some players were experiencing "blurry or lower-quality visuals compared to previous versions" of the game.

Fortunately, it's now officially resolved this "global visual degradation" issue in a new update. So if you have experienced this problem, it should be better now.

Why does The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered look blurry or have ghosting effects on Nintendo Switch 2?

"In a patch on October 13, 2026, we resolved an issue where some players on were experiencing increased image blurring, ghosting, and reduced visual quality after installing Update 1.1."

The previous update Oblivion Remastered (Update 1.1) also resolved some gameplay issues. You can check out the patch notes in our previous post.

In our review here on Nintendo Life, we said this Elder Scrolls remaster was a solid update of an all-time classic RPG.
