The new open-world survival game RuneScape: Dragonwilds (based on the popular MMORPG) arrived on the Switch 2 last week, and according to player reports, it's not in the best state at launch.

Thankfully, the team at Jagex is already on the case and has rolled out a new patch for the Nintendo version, which resolves a bunch of issues. This includes one where world saves could become corrupted. The team says it's also investigating "ongoing issues" reported by the community, and is currently working on "stability fixes", so expect more updates in the future.

Heads up, Switch 2 Adventurers!

We've been notified by Nintendo that the patch has now been approved and will be getting deployed at 4PM BST, applying the fixes outlined previously:

• We have applied a fix affecting World Saves becoming corrupted when exiting a game session!
• Resolved an issue where casting a Fishing Rod at a player-made structure crashed the game.
• Fixed an issue where adjusting some parts of the settings will cause a crash.

Crossplay functionality for Nintendo Switch 2 users is available again - until the next patch will require approval from Nintendo.

We are still investigating ongoing issues reported from the community including:

• Raid instancing not resetting correctly
• Some users experiencing character save loss when editing appearance.
• World save incongruities across platform.
• Console/Controller users encountering issues when navigating between chests and inventories.
• Ongoing work on stability fixes.

On the game's subreddit and social media, many players are calling for Jagex to improve the graphics and performance on Switch 2.
