I wonder if people now will have a mental breakdown like the did with Pokemon Legends ZA when the DLC was revealed before release of the main game

I know expansions have become common for games like this but I still think it's funny how they managed to stretch out the original to be 3 games and still have expansions lol.

Sorry but MONEY GRAB TO THE MAX.
All they need to do is micro transactions for weapons or materia.

This is interesting when considering Hamaguchi's comments from this article a month ago. This tells me the base story will be all there, but any character story DLC is extra.

Now if you all will excuse me, I have a sudden urge to listen to the Advent Children version of One-Winged Angel.

Just want to point out while prices arent listed on the eShop yet PlayStation has all 3 games, but not this dlc, listed for $85, so maybe that bundle will come to Switch 2. If you haven’t purchased the first or 2nd game yet that’s a great deal.

I usually buy games physical but I bought Rebirth digital b/c it came with Remake and Intergrade. Thought that was too good of a deal to pass up. Intergrade dlc was probably better than Remake for me.

Oh well, I still remember FF XV that promised a sleuth of DLCs to only deliver Episode Ardyn.

@Vortexeo this was my issue with Integrade, I really enjoyed my time with it to a point but then just got a little bored as the story seemed to all but disappear - to me I like a good story to keep me going, its a shame for me but I can also see why many people enjoy these remakes also

Thanks for giving me a reason to not spend 100+€ on Rebirth and this one. Maybe in the far future when they'll be sold at a super cheap price and the sales will no longer really count on the success of the game.

I am really curious how this will look on the switch 2. If it is equal to rebirth then hell yeah. Looked amazing.

The sony showcase was really boring. I hope the next N Direct will give us alot to chew on. (Also some FF gameplay)

I hate this. Either I should get the game at launch or I should wait until the DLCs release. But if I wait, will the DLCs make it to disc?

@Zeeba If Sony goes ahead with killing physical disks by January 2028, then the chance is very very slim that the DLC will hit disks

@LuigiDude96 Not sure but I don't mind personally. My problem with ZA's DLC wasn't that it was revealled before the game's release (Xenoblade did that. So did Smash), but that it was actually releasing so incredibly close to the game's launch. Made it feel like the content was just stripped from the game to be resold to us. With FF7, the DLC is far enough away that it still feels like content outside of the main game scope, so I'm ok paying extra for it.

Does make me wonder if with ever crisis closing down that some of the story content from that will be redone in this since from what i gather one of that games stories was focused on sephiroth and also it seemed like there was some elements of before crisis in the game, (before crisis being a game focused on the Turks)

A prequel story with Sephiroth, Angeal and Genesis could be cool. Don't see what else could be done with Sephiroth, unless it's somehow adapting Advent Children into a game.
Vincent was a Turk before the experiments so that feels like, along with Remake's Juffie story, more set-up for a Dirge of Cerberus remake.

I see Square really doesn't want to give back its milking cow 🤣 and why should they, player consume without thinking.

I won't bother playing until the full game is released.
I don't support crappy business tactics of purposely withholding parts of a game back just to charge more later on for the complete version.

That, and I will wait for the inevitable massive price drop for the complete edition.

I'm glad I'm not waiting for this one.. I'm still playing through Rebirth's Demo.. I'll download it when it goes on sale - and it will. Probably closer to the release date of this new one.

I paid full price (which wasn't really too high) for Remake when it came out to show support. I knew space was going to be an issue for this trilogy once I saw the first one was 90GB... I'll just commit an SD card to all three games and make some wonderful box art if I have to shuffle my library around to make space. The DLC 'Integrade' segment of Remake was good - but I wouldn't really pay full price for it if I was presented the choice. I'm hoping the new DLC for the third game is more involved. Maybe I'll get to it by 2030 haha.

Finished the first Remake and honestly don't understand why this is 3 games. I could possibly see it split in 2 but 3 is just excessive.
The amount of filler and fluff added and twisted of 'remake' is just plain dumb.

Rebirth felt like a drag for me and I had to force myself to finish, I’ll be waiting on this one

Yet another reason I'm fine with the industry burning down. Let it fail.

Ok I'll be waiting another couple of years to play this then.
