As the Cat Tour starts to wind down, Nintendo has announced the next big update for Mario Kart Tour, keeping the wheels spinning on its gargantuan mobile racing hit.
The Metropolitan Tour will see racers take to a variety of city courses, racing through streets while enjoying a general food and chef kind of vibe - we're down for that! You've not got long to wait, either, with the new tour scheduled to launch on June 14th.
Alongside the refresh of courses, the next update will also bring with it a brand new Mii Racing Suit modelled around pastry chefs. With a tall white chef's hat adorned with adorable little stars, we can't wait to try out this new outfit as we glide skilfully and effortlessly around the new tracks (so modest).
If you've yet to try out the Cat Tour, get on it now while you still have time. Otherwise, the Metropolitan Tour is just around the corner!
Let us know in the comments if you're looking forward to the Metropolitan Tour on June 14th!

Looks good, hoping for a Switch release.
Obligatory "please come to a real Mario Kart" comment.
@johnvboy I'd be very surprised if they did that, considering they're still dripfeeding that new DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
People still play this embarrassment?
Why new outfits weren't included in the mk8 dlc I'll never understand.
@Maulbert it's quite fun to do a daily challenge on the road... (not paying for it though)
@Maximumbeans,
This might be part of the gradual DLC release.
@johnvboy Hmm. Maybe.
I Couldn't get into this game, like I thought I would. the costumes and the stages we're cool, but what turns me off was mostly the gameplay itself. Maybe this one will be part of the Mario Kart 8 course pack in the future. would be interesting to see future content added in one of the packs.
Genuinely hilarious that the Berlin Wall with falling Whomps as obstacles is in a Mario Kart track.
Since they're rolling out at least 2 brand new city routes this tour, with the possibility of London 4 (I'm pretty sure that it's just Paris Promenade 1 in the trailer, but London might be 2 or a new route), I wonder if they're trying to get them all out before each one appears in 8 Deluxe.
@Maulbert
Yes, I do
It's fun, both offline and online is challenging.
It's free if you want, no ads, no limited play.
@Maulbert
yes what other mario kart is as convienient, has better characters, has reverse and trick courses and is updated as much as tour?
