The latest Famitsu Japanese charts are in for the period from 11th April - 17th April. It's yet another triumph for Kirby and the Forgotten Land, with the latest entry to the Kirby franchise coming in at number one.
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim enters into the charts in a strong position, coming in at number two with a total of 27,199 units sold.
Otherwise, it's another excellent week for the Switch, with only Winning Post 9 2022 for the PS4 representing other platforms.

The Switch is absolutely dominating the hardware charts, too. PlayStation 5 has fallen into fourth place here, despite only a tiny decrease in the number of consoles sold (10,573 last week), however the Switch Lite has seen a nice increase (9,483 last week) to muscle its way into third place.

GO KIRBY. Keep it up. I hope it does better then Star Allies in the long run. It really is a great new 3D entry.
I'm glad it's doing so well. I'm currently doing the post-game content, and it's been a great time. Hopefully, this is a sign of good things to come for Kirby.
Lack of Elden Ring is surprising, especially as just 5,000 units was enough for Ring Fit to make the Top Ten.

I just got the last upgrade to Sword and it basically turns Kirby superpowered. It's Kirby's version of King Arthur's Excalibur.

I enjoyed it more than Bowser’s Fury and Odyssey, I think. If anyone’s on-the-fence, just go get this game, you won’t regret it!
I guess leaving Japan out of their plan this gen is now coming back to bite Sony in the long run. This wouldn't had been a big deal if their NA support is going good too but that also flopped due to consumer difficulty of finding a PS5 and that $70 price tag on first party titles not to mention the lack of exclusive games for the system as most are just PS4, Switch, and PC ports. It looks like only their European market is doing okay for now but with the recent war between Ukraine and Russia it probably won't help that much for them in the long run. You need a new game plan Sony and soon.
Wow the PS5 is really hurting. I don’t known if it’s still supply shortage or if Sony is abandoning home court, but these sales are abysmal. Not a single PS5 game in the top 10, and the digital edition only outsold 2 discontinued consoles. Yikes

@ItsOKToBeOK The games sales are what I find a bit strange. Reminds me of early days Wii, where the console was selling loads but games weren't exploding. There was a run of charts a few months ago where not a single PS5 game was in the top 40. There's probably a whole bunch in the hands of scalpers, but in my experience the demand isn't really there. I could buy a PS5 tomorrow from Facebook Marketplace but god knows what I'd play on it.
@Medic_Alert Yup. I genuinely think the Sword is so OP it's almost broken but I'm not complaining. On the subject of Kirby a Streamer called DSP rage quit Kirby and the Forgotten Land and basically called it Dark Souls Lite 😂😂

Kirby is the IP that keeps on giving. Which other IP can keep up with this release schedule? Average one per year for 30 years now!
Plus KtFW is just SO addictive! Getting 100% in a first try, though you still get a feeling of effort. Such balance! Much completionism!
@Matty1988 That's the issue right there, although the consoles are selling because scalpers are picking them up. None of those PS5s had any games on them. If a scalper buys 50 PS5s, that's $20K for Sony but in terms of games that's a $3000 loss for all those PS5 that had no games on them. If a typical customer usually buys about 5 games per console, that's a $15,000 loss for Sony and their devs on all those PS5 that the scalper had cause them consoles doesn't had any games bought on them. If this continues then that issue will cause Sony to lose third party supports and profit on games that should had been selling but aren't due to consoles not getting in the hands of the proper consumers who wants them.
13 Sentinels launched with 34k on the PS4 a few years ago. The Switch version being so close to that is remarkable.
