It's nice to see the game is doing well! Glad people aren't getting this game mixed up with Super Mario Party anymore. Hopefully these Nintendo filled charts can continue, Sony could flip the tables any minute
I just really hope we get some DLC for this game soon. The game is excellent, but the map and character selection is a little lacking
It's just crazy how this thing is selling in Japan.... even the weakest Switch version is stronger than the first competitor. That's probably due to the chip shortages though I would imagine.
Wish Superstars would give you the option of turning on motion for the dice as i keep on forgetting as I only play it when some mates come around
If Nintendo is leading the market, it's very bad. The natural order must be restored with the glorious Sony being on top! Then, the world will be a better place!!!!!
PS4 is the new Xbox in Japan now. It hardly sold numbers anymore, also the Switch already beat both the Wii and PS1 at the VGChartz putting it right at the top 5 best selling hardware in the world now.
@Specter_of-the_OLED What's ahead of Switch now? PS2, DS and...? did PS3 outsell Wii and PS1?
EDIT: I checked: forgot PS4 had done so well and counting GB as one, is almost cheating
@Specter_of-the_OLED the Switch already beat both the Wii and PS1 at the VGChartz putting it right at the top 5 best selling hardware in the world now.
But I read in GameInformer that wasn't what their Biased Polling showed on their current print issue. They stated Xbox has the best year based on their skewed polling from twitter. I sent them a feedback they need to do better.

Mario party is such good fun!!! I really can't understand why Mario Party Superstars has fallen so far down the UK charts
@Skunkfish PS4 and Gameboy apparently.
https://www.vgchartz.com/analysis/platform_totals/
@dmcc0 I saw. Kinda feel that counting all GB models as one platform is kinda cheating, I always saw my Gameboy Color as a follow-up to the original...
They finally got it right again... Mario Party 9, 10 and Super Mario Party had so many problems.
Now we just need some additional maps and minigames.
This was a really fun game. The praise is deserved!
Nice to see mario party back in the spotlight again! Apart from dlc I'd love for this to mean investment in a SMP sequel. It could use some fixing but it'd be a nice supplement to regular MP
@Skunkfish I originally thought that when I saw the GB numbers, but given that they are counting PS4/Pro, XB1/1X and even Series X|S as as single entry then it doesn't seem so bad.
@SwitchForce That was for 2021, the VGChartz are for lifetime hardware sales for one or all regions.
@Skunkfish I had a feeling Nintendo won't discontinue the Switch line until it completely dominate the PS2. The Switch just needs two more years of rampant sales and then it'll top the PS2. They could easily top the PS2 faster if they dropped the price of the base Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED at some point in the next two years and bundle each one with a game or two.
Huh didn't think the Clubhouse games would be a secret seller.
@iLikeUrAttitude it didn't really sells well, only 6k. A very low week overall to be honest. Most likely people saving for Pokemon Legends next week.
I’m picturing a roadside kiosk, somewhere deep in rural Japan.
A driver stops, gets out of his car, maybe thirsting for some Pocari Sweat or something, and cuts a beeline to the shack.
“Gimme an iced tea and … what’s that?”
The stallholder looks behind him, where a PS4 has been sitting for the best part of a decade, the box coated in a quarter-inch of dust.
“Ah, that’s a PS4. Original. They don’t make them like that any more,” he replies, stroking his chin.
The driver pauses for a heartbeat, shrugs, then…
“I’ll take it.”
And the weekly sales figures for PS4s go from 16 to 17, just like that.
@Bailey5000 When you look at that in a vaccum yes that doesn't sound very impressive, but the game has been consistently in the top 10 for a while now and the lifetime sales are nothing to scoff at.
@Bunkerneath what game is that in your avatar??
@Bizzyb Its called Omno it doesnt show its fully 3D, its a nice simple puzzle game.
@Bunkerneath Thanks! It looks really interesting, I'll check it out
Then it's settled! I'm going to buy 6193 OLED Switches this week so that total gets pushed up to 1 million. I'm pretty sure my wife won't mind.
Well deserved, much to the dismay of the usual trolls.
