Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps are fantastic games from Moon Studios, and it's still a bit of a marvel that we get to enjoy excellent ports of these games on the Switch. The good news for those holding off and with a penchant for physical copies is that Ori The Collection has finally arrived at retailers globally.
As you'd expect it includes both games on the cartridge, along with some nice art cards and two codes to redeem on official soundtracks for each game. The bundle offers a pretty decent discount compared to buying the games individually; in the US it's $49.99USD through iam8bit, while at the time of writing it's Β£39.99 on Amazon UK.
Please note that some external links on this page are affiliate links, which means if you click them and make a purchase we may receive a small percentage of the sale. Please read our FTC Disclosure for more information.
If you want to go all out iam8bit still has pre-orders available on the extravagant Ori Collector's Edition, which costs $149.99USD.
Are you tempted to pick up Ori The Collection on Switch?

Do it if you don't have these games on your switch. These games are a perfect example of a good Metroidvania.
Getting this. Got the first one digitally and had been waiting for the second to be on sale, but always prefer physical copies.
Both these games are in the top 5 metroidvanias on Switch - along with Hollow Knight, Steamworld Dig 2 and now Metroid Dread (I won't tell you my ordering though!)
@JohnnyC
As it happens, this is technically the third physical release of the Ori games now.
The first was the lavish collector's edition from iam8bit's side.
The second was the individual physical releases available on wider retail.
This third release is specifically both games in one cartridge, which is nice to have for obvious reasons.
Got both as separate physicals, HIGHLY recommend them to any metroidvania lovers.
Found the second one a bit more hand holding than the first one. But still great
now this is how a physical print edition is done.
I have both Ori 1 and 2 in their old separate physical releases (sadly haven't gotten around to playing either yet) and was considering trading them in for the 2-in-one cart. It would save shelf space, and maybe give me more up-to-date/patched versions of the games. Hmm...
Arrived today alongside my Switch OLED
I am glad I did not get the separate physical releases! I will get this one soon!
I'm knee deep in Metroid Dread right now. My brain can't handle two more Metroidvanias at the moment. Plus, my wallet is hurting from life stuff. Hopefully, these won't be sold out around Thanksgiving or later when I'm ready.
My copy arrived over the weekend, but Metroid. I've played a fair amount of Blind Forest but never finished it and have been holding off on WotW waiting for this release.
I tried the demo, but it isn't for me. Just hate those floaty controls (which sadly many games nowadays have).
@Ron22
Metroid is not and can not be a "Metroidvania". π
While nice, could had made a third game first before making a collection that way it became a complete trilogy rather than a 2-pak. Already got these as separate physical pak so I may skipped this one but it's a nice 2-in-1 package for those who had not gotten the games yet. Now when will Cuphead gets the same treatment?
@MightyDemon82 Love your avatar. Best western Comic series ever imo.
I am this releaseβs most specific target audience lol.
(Interested in both games for a long time, but still havenβt purchased.)
@BongoBongo Noooo!!! We must know!! (Only slight sarcasm. Tell us lol.)
@Specter_of-the_OLED: The creators have said the series is over. There will not be a third game. (Of course, who knows, never say never.)
Beautiful! Amazing games, both of them.
@Vindignant thanks, Yes I'm a huge fan of all things Mignola. Hellboy will always be my favourite comic character, more fun than any superhero!
Already have both of these digitally but feel like getting this anyway just to show support on how to do a physical release. i.e no download codes etcβ¦
This is a nice all-in-one physical, though I already splurge on the iam8bit collectors edition. Good to see various options still available.
@RupeeClock I remember those. But seeing this one announced kept me away from the individual versions, and I don't tend to bother with overpriced limited editions.
Having beat Metroid Dread this weekend, my Metroidvania itch is really flaring so Iβve restarted Samus Returns on Fusion mode. But Iβm 100% buying this ASAP - have heard nothing but good things about these games.
Dang, had I known about this I would have waited on picking up physical copies. Having both games on one cart would have been better than having two individual carts.
Oh well. π€·ββοΈ
I decided to preorder this over the weekend! Over half way through Metroid Dread. Going for 100%. I love these types of games have heard very amazing things about both Ori games. Excited to dive in!ππ½
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!
I just did buy those digitally like a week ago ππππππππ
Highly recommended. I received both as gifts. 1 on xbox one and the 2nd on switch.
Perfect games.
I already have both games physical on Switch but for anyone not having these games Iβd fully recommend getting this collection, itβs 100% worth it
I would buy this if I didn't already have the physical versions of both games released separately. Plus I have them on Xbox. I'll definitely play these games on my new Switch oled π.
I'm a simple man. You tell me that a compilation of great games are all on one Switch cart with no codes, I jump on it, like the Subnautica and Metro Redux packs.
Gotta reward those publishers that know what being customer-friendly means.
Any day-one updates or any extra data required to play? Heard that Will of the Wisps wasn't all on cart in its original physical release.
@CharlieGirl
Provided it was done like this in the first place rather than two separate physicals 6 months prior...
@DarkTron
Apparently the European version is confirmed not to need any update, don't know about America.
@Slowdive
That's a shame, hope someone has been able to confirm for them over the pond.
