Earlier this week, Nintendo announced a Pokémon Sword and Shield presentation would be taking place next week on 5th June. Alongside this announcement, The Pokémon Company revealed it would also host a press conference, covering a range of topics that will likely interest trainers far and wide.
If you would like to watch the press conference, the live event will take place on the 28th May at 6pm PT / 9pm ET and on the 29th May at 2am GMT / 3am CET. You can view this event on the Pokémon website or Twitch.
Here's the official rundown:
The Pokémon Company is hosting its 2019 Press Conference in Tokyo, Japan, on Tuesday, May 28. You can watch the event live here at Pokemon.com starting at 6 p.m. PDT. The press conference is expected to cover a number of topics of interest to Pokémon fans.

Trainers gotta watch it all
@Lumine That's probably in the Pokémon direct next week. That's only about Seord Shield. This is a conference about Pokémon in general.
i'm keeping my excitement in check. Pokemon Sword and Shield news will probably be save for the direct next week. unless they are sharing something different there than the information for the direct .
"Immersive world on the Switch." PoGO did me raw, haven't played since Gen 3.
"Scottish Trainer memes." ...
"$10 Best Buy Pre-order Discount." N-nope...
"Corgi-mon!" 'I WANNA BE THE VERRRY BEST'
Curious about what the evolved forms of starters look like.
I'll take a stab at predicting this, doubt it'll be all but here's what I thinks possible:
New spinoff for switch and/or mobile (could be a sequel to an existing one or a brand new one)
Detective Pikachu port(s), again Switch and/or mobile
PTCG online for Switch
Let's Go wifi event
Anime/movie updates
one or two things about Sword and Shield as an appetizer for the direct
Mostly expecting spinoff material here, if anything.
S&S stuff is clearly saved for June 5th.
Oh I had heard something about it but assumed it was going to be boring investors stuff. This is my first time realizing it is actually being advertised for the fans. I'll be tuning in! 33 minutes!
Do we know how long this is supposed to be?
My prediction is that this is a mobile announcement. Nintendo does not seem to be involved in this press release and having to announce a Pokémon Direct next to this Press Conference sounds like a way to detract any negativity to what’s about to be announced.
Very similarly to how they announced a Pokémon Switch game after the Ultra games & Pokken Deluxe and a Gen 8 announcement next to Pokémon Let’s Go and Pokémon Quest
Apparently - it;'s a BIG Event!
His button-down is straight swag.
Please no more stupid dance Z-moves.
Z-moves might be inspired by Hula dance since the region is Alola.
Don't tell me it will have another weird dances inspired from Scottish dance and bagpipe chorus. 🤣
I wish I liked Pokémon as much as when I played blue all those years ago. Seems like a great time to be alive for Poké fans right now.
@ASonic3582 "PTCG online for Switch" I wish! But only if they add a way to purchase cards directly, without the need for the codes from packs IRL.
And unlock cards obtained "for free" in-game to be tradable. (that might have already happened, seeing as I haven't logged in in over a year.
Umm.... the return of QOL??
@Anti-Matter The posing and dance might have been a bit silly, but I really like the Z-move mechanic. Having a one time use "super move" each battle adds a nice twist to the strategy. And in multi-player I always like playing around which Pokemon are potentially mega-evolutions and which one might use a Z-move.
lol, I forgot about it, eh...I'll watch it later, or something.
@Anti-Matter As an actual Scottish person, if they incorporate any kind of culture it would just make me cringe. Kilts are itchy af and walking down the street while 12 year olds murder bagpipes makes my ears bleed. And yet, I’m somehow still a nationalist. Go figure.
