i was just wonder what people thought of the amount of releases for the wii and dsi my view is that since the start of the dsiware its pretty much taken the lead over the wii as theres always more realeases for that shop. I know the wiiware never been blessed with a huge line up of releases but as not a dsi owner seemed to to be a bit of a mick take the steady stream of dsiware releases over the wii ones anyways whats your thoughts.

I feel like there have been more good releases for WiiWare as a whole, because I've bought 12 WiiWare games vs 6 DSiWare games. There are 7 WiiWare games on the horizon that I'm interested in vs only 2 for DSiWare, so I don't think it's true that DSiWare has taken over, at least not in terms of the quality of the games it's getting. DSiWare does get a lot of 200 point games and apps coming out for it, so maybe it looks like it's getting a lot of releases, but DSiWare doesn't seem to get a lot of 800+ point games that are more of a big deal like WiiWare gets.

I play more DSiWare than WiiWare, probably because the DSiWare I have on my Japanese LL is better suited to quick bouts of play, which fits in nicely with my lunch hour or if I have spare time to kill, whilst on the Wii I tend to play more involved disc-based games (though I'll warrant there are some pretty involved WiiWare games).

I'm sure I'll get back into having evenings where I play a little bit of this and a little bit of that, but at the moment my WiiWare collection just sits there. I have taken the step of moving some channels to my main screen screen in order to remind me of those games which I either have yet to play (Lost Winds: Winter of the Melodias) or need to put more time into (Rage of the Gladiator).

Well since wiware has been out since forever I think that the DSiware shop has a lot of catching up to do and its on the right track. Honestly the DS fits my life style perfectly as gaming on the go is pretty much all the gaming I have time for. Im sure their are a ton of great games in the wiiware shop that I have yet to play(no wiware DL'S yet), but having the option to just focus on one system is the best way for me. Also, as the DSiware shop is only 13 months old I think this is the best time to have a DSi system. I dont think Nintendo has done great things with the(DSi) shop, but I think they are getting a lot better with the games their releasing in the DSiware shop. This is the time when they really can step up and standout from the other portable DL shops out there. Maybe they wont, but im one of those people they are holding out and hopefully they will.

DS also has much more support than the Wii. Saying that though DSiware has a good share of great games but the Wii has more good games, more great games and more outstanding games.

WiiWare or DSiWare?
Hah jokes are funny.

(Wiiware of course.)

EDIT: Why is this in the Wiiware section? Shouldn't it be in the General Discussion forum?

They both have their gems. I'd say Wiiware right now but I wanna see what the 3DS will bring to the download service

Not Really We used to get little stuff every week. The best we got in 2009 was the time all those domo games came out. Ever since 2010 we've been getting 4-6 dsiware apps weekly. Fortunately dsiware will catch up with ww and vc in the next 2 years.
