Topic: Steelbook cases?

Owned my first one this weekend due to Amazon uk charging the same price for super Mario 3d world than without it. Why doesn’t Nintendo do more of these? They are unbelievably cool. Searched for Zelda breath of the wild and Mario odyssey ones and there aren’t any. Seems a shame as the games are classics and collectibles

They are more expensive to make than Plastic ones.

When it was clear the Switch was becoming a success in late 2017, it wasn't until then that publishers and retailers began offering more steelbooks for some games. There are some Switch collectors who try to obtain most of them. I believe there are over 100 of them out there, many of them tied to boutique limited releases and special editions. Although Best Buy did offer one for Bloodstained and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with a purchase of either game.

I missed out on the Luigi's Mansion 3 steelbook which was a European exclusive I believe?

I'm really happy the switch version of Persona 5 Strikers is coming with a steelbook.

The Monster Hunter Rise one looks good too.

I like steel cases. I have six of them now. I love the mario maker 2 steel case.
Really wanted the mario kart 8 deluxe steel case but that was exclusive to North America.
